  • la barra de cobre que aguanta el grano de maiz esta conectado a una fuente de calor como puede ser un estañador o soldador, por eso no sale en extremo y por eso lo coloca tan meticulosamente....

  • all u have pause the vidoe take out the kernel then put on the popped popcorn

  • if this really happens, lots of people will die. it's obviously a fake one. instead of the popcorns, why don u try it with something else, like "your balls"??

  • the audio sounds fake

  • ya keep using the parts from your microwave and putting them under the table your gonna roast your insides one day for those who dont believe me google the effects of microwave radiation

  • Alles is omgedraait !!

  • hoezo?

  • u heated up the wire attached to the kernel

  • no he didnt because the carbon fiber rod is atached to a crocodile clip wich aint atached to nuvin elcrical

  • take that back he heated it up

  • dude do you fake all of these or are you just saying it so people can shut up

  • i wonder if there is a current running through the carbon fiber wire

  • Fake

  • ok dude. if ur using a hot air gun.. it should sound.. even u edit the audio in the video.. not unless u muted all audio in this video and put a recorded 1 with out hot air gun

  • Haha I love all the self-confident morons pointing out it's fake all the time =P

  • Confession: I FAKED THIS!

See my latest video for details.

  • really! i didnt notice (sarcasm)

  • you actually thought someone feel for this? wow... fail.

  • Obama could do it..

    view our channel

  • A 1 kilowatt microwave takes about one minute to pop it's first kernel in a closed environment. A cell phone transmitter operates from around 1 watt. There's no way this is real. FAIL.

  • See my video "The cellphone popcorn trick solved"

And how the have coked there nuts!!!!

  • fake

  • haha stay asleep sheep

  • So yeah. That bit about getting the antenna lined up... Last time I checked you didn't have to point your phone at the tower to make a call.

    Good effort.

  • yea, i know really

this is a joke, i think at least

  • lol lame well obviously the signal is stronger closer to the object emitting the microwave radiation. Do some research fuckwit

  • It is still not proven that it's save.

When it hat no effects on health.

    It is a good technique.

But all over the world there are to many people having all the same health problems with the signals from wireless devices.

i have to shielded my house below 1uW/m2 to life in it. More than this will courses sleep problems. And that couches other health problems after time.

This is one of the four video's now thats make me think it's plausible.

    See my favorite's with one.

I hope thats a good trick.

  • If you go to cardo website they even say the vids are fake and they made them lol

  • Heat guns cost about $15.. enough said..

  • lol, now that as funny

  • spambutcher, you should start selling tinfoil hats to these morons, you'd make a fortune!

  • actually, you can now but a foil that shields from EMF, search for Magnetic Shielding Foil, it blocks 75 percent of EMF.

  • Do you have one on your head now?

  • Had LG niet het hoogste SAR level ?

  • I don't know if its fake or not but have you ever consider that he could heat the corn from the metal thing in some way instead using the cell phone??

I don't know, just an idea

  • metal thing is a "helping hand" from radio shack - nothing exciting there.

I'll also point out that I was touching it just a few seconds beforehand - would have to get pretty dang hot pretty quick.

  • Hi Spambutcher, could you help us out here a bit?

Is this really popped with only a mobile phone?

If so, do you know the frequency of your phone? And how did you choose the distance and alignment?

(i tried with 2 phones to no avail)

  • phone is an LG Flare on Virgin Mobile.

Alignment was just intuitive. Think this test was further in distance than my prior - may be part of why it took so long.

  • I'm not sure if this is fake or not, but if it is fake, why has the media been so focused on telling us it's fake?

I mean, it's just a stupid little youtube video, yet every single news station decided to cover it for some reason.

    Huh

Why should they care about some fake youtube video?

  • Obviously it's not fake since your cell has already fried half of your brain. Do you have to point your head toward a cell tower to get signal? Besides that, when a cellphone rings, it's receiving not sending microwaves.

  • Mobile phones don't use microwaves. They use VHF radio. But yes, radio waves can kill, very easily.

  • Cell phones do use microwave technology. Any frequency between 300mHz - 300GHz is technically a microwave. They are all Electromagnetic waves. Light, sound, radio all fall into the same catagory just at different frequencies. REGARDLESS. This is a hoax. I don't care what this vid shows.

  • Sorry, but you're wrong. Microwaves exist above 1GHz in frequency and are NOTHING to do with sound. Sound is NOT electromagnetic - sound is formed from longitudinal waves whereas radio waves are transverse and can have varying degrees of phase... But yes, this video is complete bollocks!

  • animation da

  • You are so right. Got my wires a bit crossed there. Sound is not EM. I was thinking more about sound/light/heat correlation. And regarding microwaves, it's really a matter of differences in frequency and signal strength. At any rate. I stand corrected.

  • It MUST be the type of phone, because I have a relatively new Samsung T319 and cannot replicate this. I also tried this at work with 5 phones, all different models, and could not replicate it on either a wood or metal surface... Have you tried using different models to test if this is possible?

  • well... if i need to pop popcorn i ussualy just use the microwave

  • k i just tried this with one old style and a kernal opened not popped

  • you were able to make a popcorn kernal open just by pointing a cell phone at it? can you video it?

  • fake

  • normaly this is NOT possible. Why?

Well, sellphone's send out waves. In this case, microwaves (about 6 mHz or something)

and popcorn only easily pops at about some thousands of them. So on a belgian show they tried this with 4 selphones and it didn't work.

  • If you learn advanced physics, this is a near impossibility.

  • If you want me to believe it, first give me lots of pot, and then stop using metal and gloves, just put the popcorn on the table....

And if its true, ill be very pleased to call you wherever you are arround the world just to fry your brain.

  • try it on a glass table and then back the camara up enough to see the whole thing or something

  • it just doesn't matter. it is too easy to digitally fake it.

  • true

  • Fake.

  • Bullshit. Popcorn pops as a result of the moisture and oil inside the kernel rising to a temperature of about 180 degrees fahrenheit. There's no way that anyone would not be able to detect the amount of heat required to pop a kernel of corn coming out of their cell phone. You're providing some sort of external heat source not related to the cell phone.

  • why wouldn't he do it digitally instead?

Seems a lot easier to me.

  • I'm starting to believe you but not yet. Can you do the experiment again with popcorn in a glass? the microwaves should pass right through glass. Also put the glass on another glass so we know nothing else is around heating the corn, and back up the camera enough to see complete set up.

  • yh :)

  • It's just so dumb to do something and show only a section of the clamp. You can even hear something crackling in the background like it's heating up the "carbon fiber" rod.

    People need a life.

  • i though this to, like maybe he's hooked up an electrick current to the end of the rod just out of view and thats heating it up. I think he should put the corn on a tooth pick and hold that to the ground with some modeling clay, then have a camera shot which shows he cant use a blow torch just out of view to heat it with, then if he does it without computer trickery and under them conditions then it must be real (which i doubt).

  • what if you opened the phone and not just let it ring. and what about using like 10 phones. lets try that.

  • Please do it just laying on a glass table because when it is suspended from anything It could possibly have heat flowing through it. Please

    -Cody

  • I'll think about this. There's no reason I can't do it this way - but if I shoot another video I want to try to cover everyone's complaints about how it could be faked.

  • spambutcher, is this a real phenomenon?? it seems like you give good data, i thought the popcorn looked alittle fake looking but maybe its cause of the focus. u should get the best set up to prove the skeptics wrong. cool work! now im scared lol,

  • I'm still skeptical what if you were using a laser of some sort?

  • can't think of a good way to prove I'm not - but I'll tell you that I'm not.

  • Well, if it actually works from a cell phone then the big question is how does a cell phone pop the corn but not cause you pain when you use it?

  • because your body has alot ALOT more surface area and infact doesnt conduct heat too well. thus, no ouchy when you call mommy.

  • The human body is what, 60%-70% water? Microwaves work by heating the moisture inside the popcorn or whatever you're trying to heat. Cellphones broadcast omnidirectionally. You would feel the heat if this was in any way true. It's fake. It wouldn't surprise me if this was paid for by Cardo.

  • LG flare got 1900 MHz CDMA frequency ,that might say somthing important. Need to fing out the frequenties of the phones then mine got 1800 MHZ need to find for corn to pop. I wonder what if someone called me when I bought a bag of this and put them both in a same bag/pocket. For sure beats having a giant popcorn maker or microwave.

  • Thanks for handling this for all the "debunkers". Lots of us already knew that cellphones use microwaves for transmission. I mean, wouldn't it have to be pretty powerful to transmit the signal all the way to the nearest microwave tower??

  • Which LG model is that? Most you see multiple phones this is just one.

  • it's the "flare"

  • man.. i aint gonna say anything.

  • Im the second viewer

  • o ya first viewer...
