@DaniB181 i think it's some stupid belief that cutting a girl's genitals will make it so she doesn't become promiscuous. in the video the girl says her father-in-law wanted her to be cut, because he didn't want her to cheat on his son. it's really sick that even other women advocate this....male circumcision is NOT the same as female circumcision. they cut the clit OFF, with dirty knives, no anesthesia.

@lifelessheap Circumcising a boy in the USA is a lot less painful then what they do in Africa. The US is not poor country and has proper medical procedures and trained medical professionals. Not some midwives with dirty knives and no numbing medication. Circumcising a boy involves the cutting of foreskin which is an unescessary piece of skin. Not a crucial organ. And in the USA it is not a mandatory ritual wherefore in africa it is.

Praise the Lord! I have been praying about the end of this OUTRAGEOUSE and Brutal tradition for years. I am relieved to see great efforts to put a end to this tradition.

I feel so badly for all the woman that have had this happen to them.
