  • This actually helps me out. I have to remove the radio from my wife's car

  • I went to do this and when I took off the first piece you take off in the video the metal clips ripped through the plastic on both the ends, so now my trim piece doesn't go in without rattling, do you know if I can reattach the clips without having to buy a new piece or do you know anywhere other than a dealership I could get a trim piece? Thanks

  • nice video

  • Cobalt = shittiest plastic interior ever made.

Filled with rattles and bad fitment. I have a 2010 with 20k miles that makes nothing but racket.what a piece of shit GM

  • This is a very helpful video. I am looking for a Wood-tone look, like the "LTZ" model made in 2007. My Cobalt is a 2007 LT, and I am looking in wreckers' yeards to replace these trim pieces. I don't care for the "stick-on-stick-over" type wood trim kits. Thank you!

  • How do you disconnect the wire things?

  • thanks for the video but def a lot harder to take it off then it looks in the video

  • wish my trim came off that easy.. :-/

  • did you do the interior yourself? if so what did you use

  • hey does anyone know if the plastic trim on the 08 steering wheel will come off?

  • @liquidr0x0r pretty sure it does...google it, look on cobalt forums. thats your best bet.

  • @streetsk8brdr yeah i just found out you can, there's a video of it.

  • @liquidr0x0r Hi dude, i don't know if you found your answer about the plastic trim on the 08 steering but i changed everything in my 08 LT so YES you can.

1st: Find on the side of your steering wheel (Near the Key hole) you'll find a little hole in the plastic.

2nd: Small screwdriver or something long and tiny to put it there theres a switch underneath this one you have to push straight towards the hole.

3rd: Do the same thing on the other side of your steering wheel.

  • @HonKyTanKMaN oh haha thanks man. yeah I found out after a little more research. transformed my whole interior. looks awesome. If you're on the yourcobalt website, but I'm ecopowa.

  • @liquidr0x0r no im on Cobalt Quebec since im a french Canadian, im also on Cobalt SS .net i think but i don't go there often.. im willing to change my trunk with ss/sc spoiler for a wingless trunk. realy like this sleek look.

gimme your email in private i'll add you on MSN

  • How do u do it so easy it took me like 30 min to get it all off.

  • @topballer365 1st time might take a little longer, but after a few times, its eeeeasy.

  • did u paint or use spray paint on the trim and where did u get the paint/spray?

  • @IxLeGiTxI you can get the spray paint from walmart or anywhere really. its called Krylon Fusion paint for plastics.

  • @streetsk8brdr o alright thanks

  • u were trying to hi5? xD lol

  • @Chrisjaldin lol nah its a thing that skaters do/ i use to do at the end of a video to mark it...when i saw the hand, it meant i was done....you wouldnt get it unless you were into skating at one point in your life.

  • now how about the trim for the doors, mine has power windows, how do i remove the plastic for the power window & door trim? ANYONE?

  • there's no orange in the krylon fusion ... whats up with that! what should i get instead there's pumpkin orange but its not good looking its fady and gross looking its almost a blend of pink and orange... any recomendations? my car's orange so im not getting an other colour then a nice bright orange...

  • Can you do this in an ss supercharged too? i was trying to and was putting quite a bit of force on it and was just making weird noises. im afraid to just say fuck it and do it anyways. so lemme know

  • @Onnajaja No problem! :)

  • very very sexy

  • @mexi00 Thank you!

  • No joking, I unsnap everything and put all the trim in the dish washer when my interior gets dirty. Also gives me the chance to vaccum all the knooks and crannys

  • lmfao, the dealership told me i would have to get a whole new dash & get the dealership to replace it. thank you

  • @doldford345 FAILLLL just paint it yourself!

  • do u have any vid showing how to replace the original factory stereo?

  • @mikefon No i dont, sorry

  • of course, you have to pull very hard on the trim pieces to take them off, right?

  • @jreily88 Yes but be careful not to exert more force than is needed. They are plastic. it is scary the first time you pull them off because it makes a loud cracking noise as if it were to break but your fine.

  • @jreily88 Semi hard, yes

  • Is it possible to remove the entire center piece, side panels and all?

  • yes, you can remove just about everything from the interior

  • Could you possibly do a demonstration?

  • holy shit is it really that easy? Do you have to unscrew a bunch of stuff first? Also, what type of paint do you recommend for painting interior trim pieces?

  • yes that easy!

    no unscrewing!

krylong fusion paint for plastics is what youll need

check out yourcobaltdotcom for more info and DIYs/ how tos :)
