Yes, it can be frustrating hearing comments from people who don't understand what you're trying to do. Do you think that it can be blamed on culture to some extent? Our culture in Canada has taught us that things must be made clear to us, and that we should never have to make a small effort to see. This, in turn, leads to a monoculture in which the same elements are repeated over and over again.

I would argue that this applies not just to the understanding of art, too.
