They were paid 400.000 DM. But I do not know what this was in USD. It is about 200.000 EUR today. Not that bad!

A child with eJay could have made this, although it wouldn't have had the marketing effect.
I guess the only reason they did this is to be able to say 'hey, kraftwerk made our theme sound'

Of course the Expo guys wanted to buy the "Kraftwerk-Image".
And the reality is that the only interesting thing which has remained of this Expo is the Kraftwerk song "Expo 2000"
