It looked more like a image of the moon surface inside a image enhancement program enlarging the image to simulate the movement. It was not even a smooth video. Wrong in a few ways. Yes Werhner Von Braun did build the V2s for Nazi germany. However, his usefulness ended upon the development of the titan and redstone rockets. You will notice how not another rocket was built by him that was used for military purposes. I think some ideas around the internet are just plain crazy. "killing the moon" they say. But honestly? the Moon get hit by rocks and asteroids every month or so. Beside, the crater they make this time's no bigger than 1/3 of a football field (which is super tiny). It amazes me how utterly stupid people can be. It isn't a matter of fucking up the earth. It's impossible to destroy a planet with carbon emissions. The fact is that we're running out of room. ET colonies are what we need if we're to survive as a species. Unless you're in favor of restricted births or the slaughter of billions in the name of controlling the population.
Just as we dispersed from Africa into the world so we must disperse from Earth into the universe.

Let me get this straight. we spent millions on this stupid project to find water when we have trillions of tons of water on the earth?
Seems if we had spend 49 million dollars installing desaltation plants on our coasts, we'd have more water, not to mention more jobs.
We should stop paying taxes until government can proof they know how to spend money.

the water found on the moon would not be for earth. It would be so that we would not have to bring it to the moon if we go there. - Water for drinking for converting to fuel etc. It is a huge cost per pound to get something into space let alone the moon. 79 million is a small amount compared to the coast of having to transport water from earth to the moon.

India found evidence of H2O and HO on the moon, but the quantity was unknown. This mission is to confirm the find, as well as to get a better understanding of the quantities of H2O. This is a wonderful example of science and scientific process, building and continuing the work and finds of others.

I'm in complete agreeance. There's hydrogen on the moon as well as many other gases trapped beneath the surface. I think it's very safe to say we already knew there was water trapped under the surface. However, I'm not one to believe we were blowing up space stations.

seriously people, make sure you get the facts right before you start jumping off cliffs of delusion. they did not BOMB the moon. Repeat: There was NO BOMB! they launched a craft to hit the moon and send up a dust cloud, in hopes of recording what the cloud would be made up of and to determine the amounts of ice under the moon dust. That's it. It was a very small impact, no harm done. Get hobbies people, the inanity of some of the comments here scare me, truly.

everyone shut up. they built the frigging rocket, and unless Greenpeace decides to send up an impossibly fast intercepting rocket (VERY UNREALISTIC) there's nothing you can do about it. i, personally, think this idea is stupid, and the only thing it's good for is fireworks. and tails279 can shut up. there is no lava on the moon. there may be MAGMA but definitely no lava. lava is lava that breaks the surface. and i doubt there's magma; the moon's core is frozen.

There has got to be other ways, like digging, or landing a lunar team that professionally drills holes ( no! not like in armageddon ). Or simply building a lunar mine to search for things other than water at the same time as looking for water. When thinking about these possibilities and the ones I cant come up with. BOMBING the moon just seems barbar
