It amazes me how much it opens up with just a splash of water. The toffee can't be ignored on the nose and the tip of the tongue. One of my favorite 12 year olds. Nice review!
It is the scotch I prefer overall, even compared to the 18 year old Macallan (but that's me, preferences will be different).
Another good one is the 10 year old Laphroaig, though I can understand how people may not like it because you do have to get over the heavy peat and grass but, once you do, it's great.
