Plants are .. alive.. not sure where you got your education. It's all a chain of life. If the cat could sustain it's self on plants, it would do that. It can't. It evolved to eat things that eat plants and seeds. It's whole being is tuned to eat things that move.

So, if your going to attack others in harsh black and white terms.. you had better be 100% correct in what you spout off... or someone may call you on your folly as well. Now.. let's let the cats be cats... eh?

ive worked with so many lions and tigers in my life, and i can honestly say servals are one that i never got to work with and wished i could, they are GREAT animals, had a brief experience thanks to a zoo in wallace michigan, was fun to run one across a feild on a leash, and i know a few in ohio who eat bananas and broccili haha

Conservation in zoos means maintaining genetically viable populations for possible future reintroductions. There are no current reintroduction programs for cats for many reasons, mostly a) no acceptable habitat not already occupied b) poachers still killing the cats out there c) human population increases taking away habitat

Cats kept in captivity breed better when they are not stressed out. Thus having them calm and/or friendly around their human caretakers is prefered. (continued)

I have never seen a serval so up-close on a vid before...even on nature shows. They are such beautiful creatures...thank you for sharing this with those of us who cannot see them personally.

This is a facility that is based on the conservation of these fine felines. They are helping good facilities breed critically endangered species, such as the Amur Leopard (Only 30 or so left in the wild).

They house one serval that was once owned as a pet, but when the owner moved to California she could not legally keep the cat. Check the laws and plan accordingly if you should decide to house any animal.

Just absolutely beautiful. Servals are one of the most overlooked cats and by far my favorite of felines. It's nice to see them in action sicne I have yet to see one in real life.
