Actually, it is, its a Bee Gee "Y" Sr. Sportster. Granville Brothers built several models of Bee Gees, the Sportster is the classic red "dice" logo one you're probably most familiar with but they built several different models.
the gee bee take off was a little bit scary. the pilot was gonna crash it badly. he got lucky nothing happened. good landing though. not the best day for flying.. too windy.
not scary he did the right thing if he tried to lift the wing then it would have stalled and crashed but he left it to gain airspeed preventing a crash, like you shoud do

I'm sure that gee bee y flies better, but I'll always love the standard gee bee the most!! oh and LOVE the sound!!!!

Beautiful models and the engine sound and performance are great. The second model looks like a trophy racer of some kind but not a GeeBee.
