you can't tie the break up to just one of them. Chad sums it up pretty well at some point in the movie. You have three guys who are very talented and want to love each other, but they have very different opinions when it comes to religion, politics or anything else. Politics were a huge source of the band's fights. But god bless that I get to see them one more time. June 8th, Millenium park. Can't wait.

Both Chad and Brad have two different political views. Chad is liberal, and Brad is conservative. Soo when Chad would write a song that expressed his liberal political views, Brad would tell him that he did not agree with with what the songs political message and would not play Chad's song. Then the two started to argue their sides of politics which ultimately led to them to stop sharing each others songs that they wrote and tragicallythey decided to call it quits....

yo they broke up because chad only wanted to sing about his political beliefs, and Braddigan and Pete didn't want to, so Chad left, and Braddigan and Pete just went their seperate ways. Also, their bassists plays guitar too
