Wish i could've seen a lot of their songs done the same way, my friends and I do stuff just like this, it's obvious these guys are for real and don't do stuff just for the cameras. It's great
I feel like Pete kinda was the dick, but Brad seems like a person who will push his religious beliefs in your face. Especially when Brad's talking about the lyrics to Pete's 'If I May'
you can't tie the break up to just one of them. Chad sums it up pretty well at some point in the movie. You have three guys who are very talented and want to love each other, but they have very different opinions when it comes to religion, politics or anything else. Politics were a huge source of the band's fights. But god bless that I get to see them one more time. June 8th, Millenium park. Can't wait.
@MrDiggity1986 yeah its from a movie they made its called the last dispatch if im not mistaken. It was a documentary on their last concert they were gonna do its really good download it off btjunkie if its on there hope this helped
this isnt an accoustic set, this is just like a practice thingy they did days before they did the hatch shell for their last ever concert. doesnt change the fact that they are suuuuch a good band!
@skusome Yep I got one ticket for friday boston show...unfortunately not on the floor but closer and diagonal to the stage. Much similar to the tickets i had to the MSG show in 07
sorry- neither is correct. I know that chad is taking time off to think about things other than music. he always said politics was a 'fart contest'- he could care less and is searching for the higher meaning.
Both Chad and Brad have two different political views. Chad is liberal, and Brad is conservative. Soo when Chad would write a song that expressed his liberal political views, Brad would tell him that he did not agree with with what the songs political message and would not play Chad's song. Then the two started to argue their sides of politics which ultimately led to them to stop sharing each others songs that they wrote and tragicallythey decided to call it quits....
Chad's taking it seriously becuase he was teching in zimbabwe
"After the song "Elias" was written by Chad Urmston about his experience living and teaching in Zimbabwe, the nonprofit organization the Elias Fund was formed. The Elias Fund looks to provide hope and opportunity to Zimbabwean youth through community development and education while empowering the American youth culture to embrace their global role and make it an active one."
so that's probably why he doesn't want to dress up as lion
your really really close, when he was there he met a man names Elias, who wished for a better education/future for his two sons Honest and Emanuel, Honest is now going to a tech school in Uganda thanks to the elias fund, im not sure if thats what you meant, im just clarifying, not mad or anything, lol
thats not why they broke up. think about it they broke up becuase they were becoming way to famous. they were trying to stay and independent band. dispatch is the only music that never has a bad song.
yo they broke up because chad only wanted to sing about his political beliefs, and Braddigan and Pete didn't want to, so Chad left, and Braddigan and Pete just went their seperate ways. Also, their bassists plays guitar too
none of them were dicks they were all amazing guys and amazing musicians it was just too much personality and musicianship for one band. It was crazy having three guys who could easily carry their own solo carriers inside the same band. And there really is no bassist anyway.
no. its because brad gragged he notes along, and seemingly, chad was already frustrated to begin with, so since chad wrote it, he was just kind of like 'its a spiritual song give it some more respect.
This band changed my life back in the day, still changing lives today
