i know paddy played alot of links courses growing up in ireland, but tiger grew up in california, your not going to find one true links course in california, florida, wherever he's at in the states. but for a man who hasnt played much links courses in his life compared to paddy i think tiger has held his own on the links (3 opens) pretty nicely. i bet if tiger lived in the UK for a year we wouldnt have this discussion on whos a better links player...

Tiger doesn't play many events a year, he could play tons of links golf. I'm as big a Tiger fan as anybody but using that as an excuse is ridiculous.

really if thats an excuse then paddy is at a disadvantage because he only plays links golf and doesnt play as many traditional courses that are tight cuz lets face it you can hit it almost anywhere on the links courses and still be good.

a stiff breeze on the links and tiger's heading home on friday evening. Yes he has all the majors and is overall a better player that harrington, that's not the issue, He's not the links player our Paddy is. Simple as that.

Padraig has a long way to go to challenge tiger. Flippin Heck, Paddy's consistancy is terrible. Tiger is a legend.

Harrington is the best links player in the world right now. Tiger is great on nice parkland courses in america and across europe but throw in any kind of bad weather especially a stiff breeze and he crumbles.

Ya i agree tiger would had to play well to beat padraig,but you can look at it this way tiger is the most intimidating name if its on the leaderboard.a tiger less major can take pressure off players that are in the hunt on sunday becuz they know they dont have play lights out to win,and that is when a golfer can play his best golf.dont get me wrong paddy is world class and the best euro player in his era but tiger eats,chews,and spits great players all the time, there is no denying his presence

padraig is a great player now having 3 majors and back to back majors, but i think at the end of his career people will remember that the 08 majors was tiger less, kind of sucks cuz he deserves the credit.

I'm a big Tiger fan but I'm looking to see who has the potential to reach Tiger's level and Padraig's got it...
