The 2009 budget was written by George W. Bush and began October 1st 2008 and ended September 30th 2009. Obama (like every president before him) did not have to come up with a budget until October, more than 8 months AFTER he was elected.

This is a factual and true point, but I am going to have to agree with Republicans on this one. And I get a lot of shit from Republicans on here. The TARP money should be returned to the Treasury and pay down the debt - minus any interest returned (and that interest minus the cost of borrowing the money). We all want more jobs but there is only so much the government can do that sacrifices the needs of the future generation for what we want now.

themselves. When Bush took office, the National Debt was 5.7 Trillion dollars.

I liked the "Godot" scenario, and you're right, it just has people dancing in circles with no end in sight. It's kind of like the rest of the politician's policies on both sides of the political fence. What Media Matters fails to point out is that while senator, Obama voted for all those bills and bailouts. So, does Obama deserve all the blame? No, but certainly some.
They also forget to mention all the stuff that he did pass as President such as the stimulus bill (soon to be Stimulus 2.0) , further auto bailouts, further wall street bailouts, Cash for Clunkers and the massive deficits the Insurance/PhRMA Government Sponsored Monopoly Bill of 09 will cause in the future.

The fact is he makes sense. The Democrats have caused this country to be in this position. One major bill they passed was the Social Security Act of 1965. This act alone allowed Social Security Tax revenue to be put into the General Accounting Fund. Social Security Tax Revenues were used to fund LBJ and the Democrats "Great Society" this is where Medicaid, Medicare, Foodstamps etc started. Since then the costs for these entitlement programs have risen 35X their original cost estimates!

This is a factual and true point, but I am going to have to agree with Republicans on this one. And I get a lot of shit from Republicans on here. The TARP money should be returned to the Treasury and pay down the debt - minus any interest returned (and that interest minus the cost of borrowing the money). We all want more jobs but there is only so much the government can do that sacrifices the needs of the future generation for what we want now.

Nowhere does Rove state "that since Obama took office,he is solely responsible for the ballooning of the deficit to $1.4 Trillion dollars" The deficit was not $1.4 Trillion at the end of 2008, Rove is in no way lying. THe deficit ballooned when Obama took office. You can argue the cause, but the assertioni is right.

And thats mainly do to President Obama's middle class tax cuts (the largest middle class tax cut in American history)

look deeper. The greatest social projects are done mostly at the local level. They are surprisingly decentralized, fiscally responsible, and have national governments that give a rats ass about the people. If you've seen this in the majority of congress for any session after the establishing of our current constitution, please enlighten me.
