This movie was changed to showcase her significant skills, especially the trading and courthouse scenes. Thousands were supposedly auditioned, but that is a lie. She was preselected, and primed for success. Not only did she get the main kill, which should have been Cogburn's, she saved Le Beouf's life, which should have been forfeit. Ross is the new main character. Otherwise, it would have ended with Cogburn riding off into the sunset, not six feet under with Ross standing over his grave.
