Damn I'm about to go back next wednesday on a violation. And I just got out of placement 5 months ago. It's gonna be my 4th time in central. Been to central,Lp,and sylmar. And camp munz.
When probation staff sneak illegal drugs into the halls/camps, they are hurting the kids. Many of the kids had drug habits when they went into the halls. While in the halls these kids should be given a chance to kick their habits. Instead, these crooked, and sometimes homosexual/pedophile probation officers get the kids more addicted to drugs. When the kids go home, they go home with drug habits worse than the habit that they came into the halls with. Crooked probation needs to be jailed.
I was back in Central in the late 80's and it changed my out look on life. There were a lot of us who were raised in single parent homes mostly by our mothers. I have mad a few bad mistakes as I got older but nothing like being there shipped around to Sylmar and LP. There is a way out of the madness of the streets and life. Have faith in yourself that you can accomplish anything

Out of the corner of my eye, I caught sight of a young man in an orange jump suit being escorted up a stairwell. His head was down, hair swaying from side to side and although I couldn't see his eyes, I don't think he had much hope. Pray, and stay close to Jesus.

We only had 30 minutes a day to talk to anyone, in county you bunk with other people and watch tv and movies. I think it depends on where you're from, as to how bad it is. I don't soubt for a second that it's bad where you're from "tloks". But in somw locations, like where I'm from, the juvies are bullshit, and it's not enough to scare the kids into not reoffending. But no matter what, expecially on a long stretch (months, years) losing your right to eat, drink, do, and go where u wnat should b enough to deter most people from doing the same shit that got them there in the first place.
The kids at Eastlake are mostly assholes, but the kids locked up in Sylmar unit X an Y are fucking insane rapists and murderers. I'm glad they're being tried as adults.

I have a few years experience working with young offenders. You are not de humanized, you are only forced into a structured atmosphere while usually having no traditional structured background. Modern youth are in charge of the household. In a traditional family (no longer common) the adult is in charge of the household. Its backwards for you to see adults as authority, thus you feel de humanized.
Marine Corps basic training (east coast). A very real place of intentional de humanization. Each recruit is completely broken down in every way so they can be rebuilt again our way.

We only had 30 minutes a day to talk to anyone, in county you bunk with other people and watch tv and movies. You spend just a couple days by yourself in a tiny room surrounded by white walls and you'll never be the same again, shit fucks with your head, and that aint no joke

I think it depends on where you're from, as to how bad it is. I don't soubt for a second that it's bad where you're from "tloks". But in somw locations, like where I'm from, the juvies are bullshit, and it's not enough to scare the kids into not reoffending. But no matter what, expecially on a long stretch (months, years) losing your right to eat, drink, do, and go where u wnat should b enough to deter most people from doing the same shit that got them there in the first place.

i've been to juvy 4 times.. for robbery, assualt and grand theft. i've been on probation since i waz 14. i spent 2 of my birthdays, 2 christmas's and 2 thanksgivings. im finally about to get off probation after i pay off $1800 in restitution.
it waz a habbit going back and forth.
the onbly thing u have to do really is change up your friends. dont kik it with them all that much. but u can still be down with them.
just gotta make your own decisions.

I have a few years experience working with young offenders. You are not de humanized, you are only forced into a structured atmosphere while usually having no traditional structured background. Modern youth are in charge of the household. In a traditional family (no longer common) the adult is in charge of the household. Its backwards for you to see adults as authority, thus you feel de humanized.

yes you have you take out your piercings all of them,. when i was in there i had a chain braclet that wouldn't come off they got wire cutters and cut it off. you don't have to shower with anybody i think it's illigal to make minors shower to gether.you can stay in NITRONIGRO.,...your room if you want but they might send a therapist to talk to you, and you will have to pee and poop in front of your roomate if you get one,. i was in a california juvinile hall it might be different were you at,.
