Are there any servers with original EQ and level select and any item selection /w pre-nerf items? I want to try out this game, but I don’t want to start from scratch - I don’t have the time. I also heard the original didn’t require minimum levels for gear & weapons. Is there any free Everquest emu servers that have pre mades with the best gear ever made pre nerfed - God Gear, kerafyrm, etc whatever was the best. I want to play the game in its prime with all the best items and run around killing

Makes sense i mean WoW is what like a year or two old and EQ is 9 years old. WoW is the same concept even the classes are stunningly alike. Blizzard is the best game producer in the world with 5 or 6 years in the making for each title. EQ was made by some little known company. Amazing that EQ is compared to any Blizzard title. Wow has way better graphics and customer service. EQ is more challenging, and to do the high-end content you have to work together with lots of other people.

there is a difference between zerging an encounter and absolutely needing that many people to pull off a raid. It takes more skill and teamwork than the largely pre-teen to teenaged people in WoW can muster.

As of 2 years ago........ There was 4MILLION chinese players on World of Warcrap. That made it 2 million Americans.. if ONLY americans and chinese people played. Which is NOT the case. EQ1 has an awsome storyline and is way more indepth then WoW.. cause wow was made for children.
While it is true that a large part of WOWs subscriber base is chinese, EQ1 never even came close to having 1 million at its peak. It was always in the 400k range (again at its peak) and never even broke half a million. Together EQ1 and EQ2 don't even equal 1 million! Sorry but WOW OWNZ!

Makes sense i mean WoW is what like a year or two old and EQ is 9 years old. WoW is the same concept even the classes are stunningly alike. Blizzard is the best game producer in the world with 5 or 6 years in the making for each title. EQ was made by some little known company. Amazing that EQ is compared to any Blizzard title. EQ helped make WoW the game it is today.

TheDarkDayDreamer, I have on awnser for that, all the people who say EQ Sucks, WoW Rules!. It is simple, they are 10-12 year old children who have no friends, have a few 70's on World of Warcraft. They have nothing more to do than Spam this. lol man how come people from Wow. Comes to EQ video and try and talk about how there game is better. Iv looked at WOW vids and i very seldom so comments saying "wow sucks. EQ RULES" i dunno i guess its just cuz Wow player are preteen. then way i see it WOW is like a starter mmorpg for kids to start playing and see how things work. so that when they get older then can move to Everquest and already know a little of what there doing, just my thoughts

yea i know UO was the very first but i usually don't consider it since it wasn't very good, (or at least i didn't think so) and EQ was by far more popular. and D&D and tolken didn't start MMORPGs hell LoTRO didn't even start till like 6 months ago, although yes D&D started the whole "roleplay" thing, but i was only stating EQ was the first big MMORPG

Actualy UO was very big. But EQ was way better. People still play UO .. and there are tons of servers running it.. from pay to play to free servers.. same with eq really..

actually I played both for awhile and the graphics on wow suck really bad, the new axpansion they put out wasn't really that good bc it still feels like I'm playing mario brother's lol I got addict ed to eq2 for the graphics and game play, its unreal once you start playing its something that you haver to hook into to understand, and these girls said they are getting the game so chances are they watched another person and played a bit bc they got the ideal

there is a difference between zerging an encounter and absolutely needing that many people to pull off a raid. It takes more skill and teamwork than the largely pre-teen to teenaged people in WoW can muster.
Also, agreeing with 10 million people just because they are 10 million strong...dont think I need to point that one out...

As of 2 years ago........ There was 4MILLION chinese players on World of Warcrap. That made it 2 million Americans.. if ONLY americans and chinese people played. Which is NOT the case. Really and truely.. there is only 1.5 million American players. Which is what EQ1 had in its prime. So.. Please dont let them blow smoke up your ass. EQ1 has an awsome storyline and is way more indepth then WoW.. cause wow was made for children.

While it is true that a large part of WOWs subscriber base is chinese, EQ1 never even came close to having 1 million at its peak. It was always in the 400k range (again at its peak) and never even broke half a million. Together EQ1 and EQ2 don't even equal 1 million! Sorry but WOW OWNZ!

Valkur, as with most of the fool who think WoW is a passable video game, you forget one major thing. Its about Quality, not Quantity. WoW's massive subscriber base only shows that there are huge masses of people willing to pay monthly fee's for sub par entertainment. WoW will never, ever, match what EQ had in terms of Gameplay and Enjoyment.

EQ is just a romance chatroom that happens to also be an MMO. 40 something housewives and divorced lonely assholes played Everquest.
