  • the plane doesant know the differance between airspeed and wind volocity, short landings are commen into a heavy headwind

  • yes but the airplane was flying around 20 mph relitive to the wind.

  • and with a 35 mile an hour headwind the wing creates the same lift as a plane going 55.

  • Yes if the 20 mph was relitive to the ground, but I said relitive to the wind. What you are saying is a 35 mph headwind and a 20 mph indicated airspeed would equal -15 mph. Do the math.
