For PC

I manage to pass the centaurs. The "Adrenaline dodge" work if you have activated in MENU of the game at OPTIONS --> CONTROLS --> COMBAT MODE = Advanced toggle, otherwise you will not pass centaurs.

After that just shoot on centaurs until one of them will come towards you, wait for him until is close and image slows then push the LEFT, RIGHT, and DODGE/ROLL button, in the mid air wait until the two grey target will overlap and is become red on centaur head then shot

if you're using keyboard and mouse it's harder to control, I success twice to get the shield from around 200 times but cannot kill any centaur. I've gave up, delete the game forever.

@funloverc It is possible, I did it with the Key board and mouse.. it took me about 3 hours of practice..Although true, i dont think i could get it again from first shot.. they are so difficult

@EuropeanGuy87 I remembered I'm too chicken to hide in a corner of the temple and shot them, but they're recovering so fast. I also remembered I did kill one, but just too tired then killed by another one. Maybe I should swim back to the safe place and sleep overnight, so the Centaur will run itself overnight, haha.

I wish hiding in the corner and shot them would work..but unfortunately not .. the hard part is to do the adrenaline move and take the thing away from them in the first minute, so u use your health kit later on, Cause by the time i would hit one I am running out of those health kits.. also make sure for computer u have set in the options -combat mode.. advanced toogle.. and not manual.. with manual option u never gonna kill them.probably why u weren't able to. try it

these centaurs cant turn you to stone unless you have your dual pistols out you could be right up on them and u don't have to crouch or look away just put up your guns. and as for the shield part after you stun them press the grapple button once

and retract it immediately.

change ur controller settings to advanced toggle

when the centaur aims green glow at u to put ur guns away turn around

then when uve dodged the glow take your guns back out and start firing at the centaur you want to kill then put your guns away and take them back out so you can aim at the centaur charging towards you

when ur doing the head shot press the crouch button when the centaurs closer to you and wait til the aim button goes red then fire

put your guns away and use grapple to get shield

the head shot took me quite awhile my timing was always off. To do it get your enemies rage meter up to full you will see a red like ring flash around there head then when the start to charge let them get closer then press  right , left , fwd, or back and the b button to get the head shot started then press rt trigger to fire the weapon when the red target locks on.

It took me forever to figure this out. In order to do an adrenaline dodge your guns have to be drawn when you dodge. In the PC game you can switch your combat mode to 'Toggle' so that she doesn't put her guns away right away, and suddenly you can do an adrenaline dodge every time with little effort.

Hello, to do this sh t in PSP, you have to hold L + R while shooting when the centaour comes to slomo stop shooting and do the circle + analoge move, wait for for the red target, then press R and shoot X

Man, there is just no sense in these centaurs. What kid would know what to do without any hints on this part??? It is very logical to remove the shields from the centaurs. I haven't spent hours trying to beat these centaurs. All I got to say is... they shouldn't make it this difficult. Hard, sure, but not impossible without hints. Also, I don't have as much 50 caliber as this guy does. Where do I get more ammo? LOL

well, you can find ammo for this pistols before you get them - on previous level. The same with UZI, you gain ammo before finding the gun.

@mes618x93 yeah at first it is kinda hard but the technique there is this . . . first you have to enrage the enemy keep shooting them until they ROAR, once they're near you the screen the blur and that's the perfect time to press "crouch" and then any either of the directional button.

Getting the shields off them is EASY - wait until the red button appears, then hold off shooting until a red target appears. It has to be red though.

The trouble is, getting the bitch to let go of the fucking shield once she's azpped them without getting run over by the other centuaur.

dude the secret is that you have to press the L1 button at the same time as the others. I almost threw my PS2 out the window. trust me don't forget to press L1 at the same time. one more thing when the adrenaline light goes to the end stop shooting let them charge then press all the needed buttons. My biggest problem was that i didn't know that you had to press L1 try that shit now you will do it trust me.

dude, it doesnt matter which centaur runs at you There might be two of them but you need to look at them as one. the adrenaline meter is the anger both are feeling not just the one you're shooting. Just deal with the one that charges you.

i did it!!finally!^^ it´s very easy once you know how to do it, i´ve got the game on pc, when one horse is coming to you what you have to do is keep presing G key and then when the screen turns blurry, press A, S or D key (I was pressing S all time) and then shift key( that one under lock uppercase letters),almost at once and then you´re be able to shoot to his head, believe me, it´s really easy, and the rest is very simple you will know how to do it ^^

I've just wasted all my medi-packs on her.

It just won't work.

When I do the adrenaline headshot, the centaur does not go into the position in which I'm able to take the shield from him.

And when I wait for the grey aims to go red on its head, it just knocks me out of the way.

This level is impossible!

This shows the irritating stuff 2 screw u up n also how 2 defeat them fast! On medium it took me 3 hours or more over 3 days. Tried all the suggestions like hiding, going in switch cavern (which I never got 2 b4 getting bombed). Finally just got enough practice or luck. YES, IT CAN B DONE! Found advanced hold best when trying to do dodge, I'd 4get guns n panic so just crouched.

This is tediously difficult, the hours I took killing these s*ds I could have studied to be a doctor. I finally cracked it & my best advice is just as the centaur is approaching for the second attack press & HOLD L1, right & circle then keep tapping the fire button. L1 is key. Be reassured that you can petrify then kill both of them with one shield. Be lucky (literally)

you can also wait just around the corner of the temple...they can't hit you and eventually they tire and run out fire...damaging themselves in the process...makes it easier to do the above move when they can't fry you!!!

the trick with adrenaline dodgeis to STOP SHOOTING when centaurs become enraged. Keep target lock, but do not shoot. The do adrenaline dodge, wait for red target mark and shoot.

EVERYONE- U MUST TARGET LOCK!! i just beat them, and u have 2-3 sec to 1)Target Lock, 2)Shoot it (once), 3)Roll out of the way-guns still drawn, 4)Shoot ONLY when the 2 gray targets merge into 1 red target, then 5)Shoot ONCE.

When the gold ring is exposed you have to 1)Grapple it, then 2)Pull it with the interact button.

Hope this helps - with the exception of a select few ppl who DO NOT have to target lock...i hate you ;-)

i'm in a drama because when i hold the O + anydirection buttons the freaking of autoaim everytime doesn't point to their head. What should i do? i used so many times to use all the buttons right when the focus fades and the centaurs attack me, but she stands still like a duck without aiming and i'm fu...ing kicked off. i tried with manual aim, and they frozen with the shield always in the wrong direction, i've done 50% in 3 days and now i'm stuck here forever.....sadness
