A couple years ago, I had a long conversation with an Indian worker, who called to interest me in a mortgage loan. He said he was paid $2 for each call that ended up with referance to an American loan officer. He worked 12 hrs a day, averaged $30 a week, on that he supported 11 family menbers in a 2 room home. HE had a bicycle. Wow. He was to only employee in the family to support all of them. NO benefits, and he had to spend considerable time to learn English to get this job.
Outsourcing makes corporations neglect in developing their local human resources realistically because corporations tendencies is to look for an easy and cheaper way out which is outsourcing w/c is a short term solution. Short term because if something went wrong there is nobody to go to personally to discuss the problems on equal terms w/c can only happen face to face. Outsourcing prevents corporations from facing the real issues why they are outsouricng, like dumbed down public US education.

A couple years ago, I had a long conversation with an Indian worker, who called to interest me in a mortgage loan. He said he was paid $2 for each call that ended up with referance to an American loan officer. He worked 12 hrs a day, averaged $30 a week, on that he supported 11 family menbers in a 2 room home. HE had a bicycle. Wow. He was to only employee in the family to support all of them. NO benefits, and he had to spend considerable time to learn English to get this job.

Outsourcing makes corporations neglect in developing their local human resources realistically because corporations tendencies is to look for an easy and cheaper way out which is outsourcing w/c is a short term solution. Short term because if something went wrong there is nobody to go to personally to discuss the problems on equal terms w/c can only happen face to face. Outsourcing prevents corporations from facing the real issues why they are outsouricng, like dumbed down public US education.

Getting a higher education now in the US will not get you a better job because there are no jobs! The only jobs left are retail sales or cashiering (such as in Walmart or a supermkt), because they cannot be outsourced! Other jobs that cannot be outsourced are nurses, cleaning people, plumbers, schoolteachers, and garbage collectors. Oh, and prison guards. think of rise and fall of civilisations as an action movie..the main character wins all the battles. over time hes victorious and conquers. at some point in time a turn of events turn bad for our hero, he loses everything and dies in end.. does anyone know the moral of this story?? we end up starting from scratch in a loop..india will take america's place as a super power and make the same mistakes along the way..a very good point..our world is paying the price and we pay that price.

Think twice when you say US paid the price. The whole world paid the price to make US a super power. eg: Japan(twice),Vietnam,Cuba, Israel,Palestein, Afghanistan,Iraq, etc... Watch the Rambo movie to see what US was doing all these years to become super power. India never imposed such a huge and intentional price on other countries to become super power. Our power is hard work not the cunning mind of US. All the religions evolved and spread in the west is caused/causing the mess.

outsourcing is not the only source of income in India, if not we should have worst hit by this recession. Indians one way or other helped US companies and people to prosper. u snobs are forgetting all those hard work and blame Indians. from 1971 to present US always supported Pakistan,luckily in all these years Russia helped us to prevent US. Main source of US income is from arms trade and by indirectly making oil/dollar price high.its not the case of India, so we can still proud of..pity on u.

India have their own technological advancements. globalization opened the trade in India. Many US companies got profit by selling/marketing in India, GM or US/people are not loosing a penny by investing in India dude.instead we are loosing our money to US by using coca cola other US products. You have to accept both the good and bad sides of globalization. Its greedy and dumb to ask profit on US side always. If u r smart enough try to stop outsourcing than showing ur dumb intellect.

be jealous and worthless. technology in west not just came by accident, Indians have major contribution in many of those. no one is pouring money in India for free or as a gift.Indian companies have a billion customers inside country itself, no need to export.We are not a capitalist country. US gets its major income by selling arms not from their goods. If outsourcing were the main source of income, we should have crumbled by this recession. remind outsourcing is not just call centers.

You don't have the rights to argue. Our war with pakistan was not for money. Russia protected us from the attack by US+pakistan. Our export/import were highly controlled before 90's. After globalization and eventual opening made US to get benefits in India, don't forget things. GM started this for their own benefits not to prevent war. US can never stop a war, because thats ur income. I am proud that with in 60 years of independence from whites, we achieved a lot without killing innocents.

No, u r a typical American dumb, repeating the same thing, which makes me to repeat my points. US never supported India/any country unless they get huge benefits out of it, even the outsourcing is not to prevent any war as u say. US's habit of screwing a country and making profit out of it, is not a matter to be proud of. US put many sanctions on India after the nuclear tests in 1998, but India saw its biggest growth during this time. India is still progressing not in the verge of recession.
