No offense to the DW4 fans, but, I truly think this was the low point of the 4 NES Dragon Warrior games. Hate on me, if you must, but, it is my opinion, as long as you respect my opinion, I'll do the same for you.
k now that opinion i do not respect! well sure i respect it, but i like dragon warrior 2 a lot, and that might be because i had it on gbc. anywho, i dont really like 4 that much. maybe because it didnt have a remake i could get access to, as i dont like the nes graphics. but whatever, its my opinion
Dragon Quest was just pretty straight forward, primitive in a couple years' time but at the time of release was awesome and original. Dragon Quest 2 felt like a step back to me personally and many others. Dragon Quest 3 didn't help me get in touch with the characters at all with the whole recruitment crap. Dragon Quest 4 had chapters of many different protagonists with their own stories. What's not to love?
Not only does he crit but he also heals himself whenever he does. Is that part of the weapon you have or what? Haven't played DQ4 since I was very young.
If an enemy is hit with a Sword of Miracles and that enemy does not die, then the attacker regains HP in proportion to the damage caused. This must be the weapon that is used in this video. (The hero, Ragnar, Taloon, and Cristo can use this sword.)
The bug involves attempting to run away over and over; apparently, if you do this enough times, the game freaks out and the Hero will always hit for critical hits whenever you use a physical attack. It only works in this battle, on the Japanese version.

@TheNihgter Yes, I believe it is the Nes, I have to admit though, for the Nes, this game looked quite good. Gotta love the 90's.

the bug is... 8 escape => 100% critical hit.

DisturbedAwesomeness 2 years ago
No, that is Necrosaro, the end boss to DQ4, however Esturk (estark?) is fought earlier in the game, and they look alike.

DQ2 was without a doubt the worst. 4 was the best by a longshot.

Hmm... I personally liked 3 the best, but 4 was a close 2nd of the NES DQs.

That's from his weapon. He's using a Sword of Miracles, which heals the attacker proportionate to the damage he does.

You didn't think it was unusual that he was only getting critical hits? You must have never played a DQ.

yeah that or i can't read japanese....

The sound made before a critical hit is unmistakable to anybody that has played a Dragon Warrior(Quest) game.
