  • were can I get more info

  • makes complete sense

the VERTICAL design is the BEST for wind power!

  • actually, the vertical design is better for lower wind lower altitude areas like cities or suburban neighborhoods. in a high wind setting like the Oklahoma plains a taller turbine like structure is much more efficient. so in essence, the vertical design and the turbine design both have their places and can both be used to generate electricity thereby reducing our dependence on foreign and non-renewable energy. One is not necessarily "better" than the other as they both have their niche uses.

  • how much power does that produce?

  • thats beautiful, it realy is.

How many kilowatts you get outta that?

  • one day this thing may save the world

  • They probably will. If we are able to collect 2% of the wind on earth we could create enough power to run the planet.

  • What are the protective mechanisms that vertical windmills have against strong winds?

  • Vertical Axis machines have a natural protection in that they turn into the wind in the turning cycle. This limits the amount of run-away speed they produce. Therefore, they can survive much higher winds than propellers

  • Hi TobyKinkaid11. Thanks.

  • nice demo....
