  • the ghoast alpha 3 rocket kit is flyable. ive done it.

  • 70s commercials are so creepy...

  • Shatner almost gets scorched launching the Klingon model.

The fins on the Big Bertha are on wrong and the nose cone gets replaced. Just watch.

  • I have heard of this video but have never seen it. Come out to a model rocket launch. Go to National Association of Rocketry and find the "section" nearest to your location. If you live in Southern Colorado, come to a launch by the Southern Colorado Rocketeers .

  • I saw only one thing that you should not do and that's wind the parachute lines around the chute. you ROLL the shroud linesaround the chute. Winding will twist the lines giving a possible point of failure. It's also a good idea to use talcum powder to keep the plastic from sticking together.

  • @jacktheripped well. i use baby powder. and i have not had one chute fail on me all my life. also, i wrap the shroud lines around my chute and it works just fine.

  • @JDrockerDUDE and 18 of those years I've been flying Hi Power rockets :) first confirmed in '93 hit 3rd level in 2000. I let my 3rd level lapse during the "bad times" of the ATF lawsuit. I have plans to be 3rd lvl again this year. I have to get a new case. Mine's was at Frank Kosdon's place when he died :(

  • @JDrockerDUDE aw r.i.p kosdon. i was sad when i read about that. well ive been in it about 16 years so im happy my dad introduced me to it.

  • Wow, this is a really cool movie, particularly considering the year it was made -- no computers, no digital equipment, just rockets and film!

  • I produced and shot this film and other version (Part Two). I still have the original film and a 1" tape. Amazed to see it here. Bill is a great guy to work with. Those "kids" today are all grown up, and successful.

  • This is really good!!

  • I have this tape.If you look up my moomman89 you will see me and some of my old collection.I used to go to the NARHAMS Club and MDRA for High Power Rocketry. But I have been away for the last few years.I hope to get back to it in the future.I guess I I'm still a big kid after all.

  • *Gawks* Wow, two of my favorite things (model rockets and Star Trek). I never knew Shatner did one of these narrative deals. Classic. My first rocket was an Alpha.
