  • Been fan of the Alan Parsons Project for yrs. I remember, hearing the first Pyramid audio playback at my local cinema in 1978 & many great albums followed. "A Valid Path" however fails miserably. It's a shadow of former glories. Chomolongma stands out.The reworking of previous tracks are tired & seems to highlight a block in ideas/creativity. Rest of the album is simply bland. I missed this somehow when it first came out. I REALLY wanted to love it. Sadly, not. RIP The Alan Parsons I once knew!

  • Really nice job!!!!!Bravo!!!!:@J

  • Really nice job!!!!!Bravo!!!!

  • brilliant video too

  • I love this song

  • this is stunning with filmed perfection nice to get a glimpse into another culture the music and photography tells the story so no lyrics are nrccessary thyis is so crisp and clean a major major achievement epic in tone and execution

  • The Best * Alan Parsons*

  • Bravoooooooooooooooo

  • Is he sayin "Let the people go"? I love this video and the ending and hey at about 3:32 in the vid are they saying Lenny Kravetz hey i don't know! giggle!

  • Great Ending my dog howls every time he doesn't hear the howling in the beginning just at the end. Great Post!

  • what movie is the video from?

  • He's great!!!video"s are also the best to give you the right impression of what he means by writing his music

  • Alan Parsons is for a very great period in musichistory been very important for evoluation of music

  • This album was a great surprise in 2005.

Alan with his son made the album.

  • brilliant work all around !

  • This track is awesome, video is incredibly good, I like the part at 2:09

  • Does anyone know where the talking at the end is from? Sounds like a movie quote to me but can't find anything :/

    Thanks :)

  • This was just a vocal rambling recorded by John Cleese in the studio.

  • Thanks for answering :)

    Awesome that it's John Cleese.

  • VERY GOOD..

  • he only helped with Dark side of the moon

  • Absolutely Kicks. Thx for doing it and sharing it. For sure kids, listen to all the Parsons you can, just unbelievably great. You can't find this anywhere.

  • Kids...listen to all the Parsons you can. He was the producer for Pink Floyd...

Pyramids is a great album for a sunset with a lovley lady and a bottle of fine wine

  • Pyramid and the Chaco Canyon Indian ruins in Northwest New Mexico. Or any other Anasazzi(?) ruins. Especially "In the Lap of the Gods."

  • Pyramid is a great album to share with even a cheap lady and ugly wine.

    Tom in Utica NY

  • And I can vouch for some uuggglllyyyy wine coming from Utica, NY. Like drinking kerosene!! My wife is from Buffalo-and she ain't cheap and definitely not ugly. Now what does this have to do with Alan Parsons?

  • Enjoying the opportunity to depict Parsons ability tl turn even a less than ideal situation nice with good music.

Heck, you had it easy...you would have had the ideal time with any band short of Spike Jones or the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band....I needed a band of Parsonian quality to bring my night up to specs.

Cheerfully...delighted to have the chance to explain.

By the way, some of the basement brew vin ordfinaire here in EES Chutika (east utica pronounced ww accent ) can get raw.

  • I consider myself to be very lucky to have been able to plug Parsons music into some unique places, situations, etc. Now listening to AP's "Lucifer" from the cockpit of a low level F-16 is what dreams are made of. Ah well, maybe in the next life. We do have some excellent wines from Madison, OH.

  • The music is great the video you guys never been there and never have lived there,so I don't know what's so cool about his old music was better than this now anyone can make music not like before later

  • ..I didn't understand a damn word you just said.

  • The Eagle, Always, is Watching.

  • Am a dolphin/ ocean man, but really enjoying your mountains and clouds! Thanks.

  • some of Alan Parson's older stuff is a little too...well old sounding for me (not Tales of course)

But this album, even though im not a big fan of Electronic, is absolutely incredible. every last song, especially this one. The deep voices and all the bass elements give me freakin goosebumps every time.

I just made the connection with the song title right now as well, Very nice video man, lovin it.

  • @guesstimateJones You really need to listen to more electronic if you think this is incredible. I would say its at the low end of the spectrum of current electronic music.

  • How come I never heard of him before? :( I think I've found a new favourite artist :).

  • Great song Alan Parsons is magic!

  • Alan Parson it so cool, his music rocks!

  • Great video, where is it? South America or Asia?! Superb Alan Parsons work too.

  • Chomolungma is the Tibetan name for Mt. Everest in Asia, the highest mountain on Earth. In Nepal, to the south, it's called Sagarmatha.

It's currently the highest point on earth and is becoming a junkyard because of that. If you climb it then bring your crap home with you, if you can't do that then leave it be;)

  • Love this video-when I made the connection that Chomolungma is the Tibetan name for Mt. Everest, I thought "Holy Buzzard Excrement Batman!"

Highest climb I ever made was Mt. Whitney and several 14'ers in Colorado.

  • About as seamless as you can get, tastefully done, great job.

  • Condors/Vultures may be scavengers, but they are the ultimate soaring machine.

    Great job (as usual).

  • If you knew this: In Tibet it is a sacret "burial" letting the vultures pick and eat the human corps so the soul is taken to the heavens by this way. Usually the corps is broaght to a monastry, the monks offer it to the "Holy Eagles" as they call them. So it's the ultimate last flight of human you're watching.

  • Thank you for the info. From now on, I will always think of the vulture as a Holy Eagle. Have followed the introduction of the California Condor to the Grand Canyon with some interest.

  • @Jan621117 thanks for the clarity

  • @Jan621117

is it really in Tibet? I know this custom from the Indian sect of Parsi, and they don't use eagles but vultures.

  • Congratulations, great video for the great song.

  • very good video, congrats cldbrks ! I wonder from where have you got the images ?

  • Another great video on a superb song....from the same inspired guy...( I guess it's a guy ),.....cldbrks...

  • Yes, I'm a guy... Thank you for the things you write...

  • Alan Parsons is such a talented musician and visionary performer..excellent stuff !

  • Thank you...

  • oooohhhhhhh, Mr. Cldbrks!!!

It's a very good job!! Until....

  • Very good video. The music is not the best Alan Parsons' one, but is curious as uses samples of actor John Cleese's (Monty Python) voice (as clearly seen in the end)

  • Nice song XD and video too

  • Thanx my friend...

  • It works... Cldbrks rocks!
