I have 12 years experience in the plumbing/gasfitting trade and hold a red seal ticket. The answer to your question is simple propane burns at a temperature of 1950°C (3,540°F), which is Far beyond the rated temperature that wirsbo can be subjected too and still hold its warranty, though I doubt you have ever had a kink bad enough to warrant the practice of heating it like you do in the video, If you were to do this then your warranty ( should there be issues ) becomes void.
@MrDmadness It was just a demonstration and we have never had an issue with these products over the past 15-20 years. We have never had a reason to question or challenge the warranty. I provide our videos for entertainment purposes. Try not to be so technical and just enjoy. If I have a problem, it is my problem isn't it.
I disliked this only because you exceed the maufacturers temperature ratings on the pipe when you expose it to your torch flame thus eliminating the warranty. I have to disagree that you can simply heat up the pipe if you were to somehow manage to have a wild crazy kink twist in it... It would always be better practice to replace this. wirsbo is pretty awesome stuff.
@MrDmadness I have known Terry, plumber, for over 15 years and I trust him. He was oly doing a demonstration. In all of the years he and I have been doing projects together we have never had on leak or any other problems. Our record and experience stand. Do you have any videos or other evidence that you have any real experience? Let me know your age and experience and then I will consider your opinion. For opinions are like butt holes, everyone has one :)
We use the aqua pex almost exclusively, the only problem I have ever come across is a mouse chewed through an empty cold water line in the winter, and in spring when we fired up the water system , big mess.. ALSo.... you can't get this at the big box stores. This is a plumbing house item. Home depot tried to tell me they sell the same stuff, BUT they are selling the compression fitting and crimping Pex and not the expandable Wirsbo Pex.
@Cartoonist1960 I never thought about the mouse thing. I hope it does not taste good to them :) Yes, I can't imagine buying Wirsbo at Home Depot :) Thanks!
@krazy45cat It's pretty good. I have been using it for at least 20 years. Before I let an architect talk me into using the cheap stuff and I also had a leak. Never again and ever since we have used Wirsbo. Thanks!
this guy is the fucking chuck norris of plumbing!

It's great stuff! I had my potable water lines redone in the tubing, when the old iron pipes clogged. No problems as of yet, it's been 2 years.
