I maintain my own horse's hooves barefoot. The difference between the landings of the shod and unshod hooves in these two videos is crazy! Down with shoes! lol

i sometimes have to ride my horse on rocks and he has very sensitive and weak feet, so i have to shoe. and you never know, every fariers shoes differently one blacksmith might be better then the other or something :P but its cool to see the horses natural 'shock absorbers' in slow mo :P

they only do that on pavement, your not supposed to run your horse on pavement anyway.

Woah. I didnt know about that. My pony is happily bare foot however i had to shoe my horse as he is very flat footed and had a crack in his back foot. I wish I could keep them both barefoot though.

You have videos of barefoot horses and horses in steel shoes, but is there any way you could make one with a horse that has titanium shoes? As they're supposed to "flex with the horse & dissipate shock". Thanks!

This video demonstrates very well how the shoe is preventing the hoof from doing it's natural job of shock absorption. Those legs aren't going to take that kind of beating forever. Every horse owner should see this!

well my horse has crooked legs, so he NEEDS corrective shoes... it all depends on the movement of a horse to determine if it actualy needs to be shod.

Thank you so much! It's necessiary for some horses. Every owner would OBVIOUSLY want a bare horse. less farrier bills. But they what's good for the horse.

æsj så ekkel video.  Jeg har kjøpt en hest som har brukt sko hele sitt liv.. men jeg skal ikke ha sko på han. er mye å rydde opp i beina hans.. men bedre med barfot!
