  • Do those ram sinks come with the cooler, and does it actually cool better than the stock GPu cooler.... it looks kinda crappy but I need something to replace my stock coolers.

  • @ElensarFFXI yes, at the time of this video (2008) it was the best cooler and because the air is always flowing down to the ram heat sinks they work just fine, without airflow i do not think the will cool so effectively

  • wtf the Thermaltake DuOrb is a cpu cooler

  • yes there are 2 types's one for a gpu and one for a cpu but they still look the same...

  • You may like this cooler because of the performance, but for aesthesics i'd stick w/ the stock cooler. It gives a more robust look and doesn't leave the PCB exposed

  • lol really nice but where did cable management go?

  • You could've added temp. readings before and after. How much difference these made ?

  • the 8800 gts's look cool with the DuOrb on it, nvidia and ati should start putting after market coolers on all there cards, but all well, nice vid

  • Many manufacturers do offer versions which feature aftermarket coolers, nVidia and ATi don't make the cards themselves, just design the GPU and a reference design. Lots of manufacturers follow this reference (like single-slot cooler/double slot cooler) and some don't. Galaxy, for example, make nVidia cards with custom designs.

Look out for cards with aftermarket coolers pre-installed, they can be better value for money and better overclockers.

  • this is a noob qns how do you check your computer temperature im totally noob in this (sorry if this is lame or wateva)

  • get a program called HWmonitor. Its got all ur temps there.

  • fantastic program!!! thank you for suggesting it!!

  • yes

  • the best and nicer cooler...do u know if it's good 4 8800gt too?! thks!

  • yes, is very good!

  • FINALLY

a decent video about the TT Duorb lol

thanks for making it, got mine ages ago :D

  • Yes it is really good for the 8800GT. Idles 38c - doesn't go past 51c load. :)

  • dont like it. since theres no fan blowing air accross the ram

  • the air goes through the fins in to the ram and out of the sides it was the best in his category, thermalright has a better one but is wayyy to big to be functional

  • The ram can be easily cooled by the heatsinks provided with the cooler.

  • How mutch did it cost?

  • 30-40$

  • nice vid, i just bought my duorb today, im going to put it on my 8800gts

  • Hehe great vid :P.

    Whats the song?

  • c the end of the video and ull c

  • Nice :D Im waiting for mine .

I have a old 6800GT and its one of the most powerusing cards, and that creates heat ;D

And now the fan isnt new anymore , its even warmer .

Now its 56C , and i hope it will be much lower with DuOrb . Then i could maybe overclock a little? Now its gettin too hot if i overclock :b

Can u say good for it? :D

  • totaly man, go 4 it!!!

  • yea, sorry about that but i can tell u the actual temps:

    Nvidia Monitor

    IDLE

    GPU 1: 47C

    GPU 2: 38C

    LOAD

    GPU 1: 71C (max)

    GPU 2: 38C

    Room temp: 22C

  • nice vid. some b4 and after temps would be nice though.
