Do those ram sinks come with the cooler, and does it actually cool better than the stock GPu cooler.... it looks kinda crappy but I need something to replace my stock coolers.
@ElensarFFXI yes, at the time of this video (2008) it was the best cooler and because the air is always flowing down to the ram heat sinks they work just fine, without airflow i do not think the will cool so effectively
You may like this cooler because of the performance, but for aesthesics i'd stick w/ the stock cooler. It gives a more robust look and doesn't leave the PCB exposed
Many manufacturers do offer versions which feature aftermarket coolers, nVidia and ATi don't make the cards themselves, just design the GPU and a reference design. Lots of manufacturers follow this reference (like single-slot cooler/double slot cooler) and some don't. Galaxy, for example, make nVidia cards with custom designs.
Look out for cards with aftermarket coolers pre-installed, they can be better value for money and better overclockers.
the air goes through the fins in to the ram and out of the sides it was the best in his category, thermalright has a better one but is wayyy to big to be functional

The ram can be easily cooled by the heatsinks provided with the cooler.

I have a old 6800GT and its one of the most powerusing cards, and that creates heat ;D
And now the fan isnt new anymore , its even warmer .
Now its 56C , and i hope it will be much lower with DuOrb . Then i could maybe overclock a little? Now its gettin too hot if i overclock :b
Can u say good for it? :D
