They are destroying sections of farmland at alarming rates.One game agency told me that if we didn't hunt wild boars they would take over most all of American farmland in 2 decades.Bonus,they taste good & its good for you.Your ancestors never would have survived without killing animals.Oh the horror!I don't need to hire somebody to kill my meat, I kill mine with pride & respect knowing I can provide for my family.

I personally clicked on this video to find out the kind of damage done by a .22-250 to decide whether to get a .22-250 or a .223. albeit this may not have been the cleanest shot, the animal didn't seem to suffer long at all, the legs moving are caused by muscle twitches that occurs in animals after death. This video does indeed have educational value..

@jpsieben7, "educational value" as in the fact that some kills are quicker than others? Both of those calibers put out well over 1,000 ft. lbs. at near distances, so shot placement would be the biggest factor, close-in. I really doubt you're all about the humaneness of it.
The .223 was effective in blowing off innocent people's heads in Washington D.C. awhile back, if you recall. The difference between you and I is that I see ALL death as nothing to gloat over, or to replay in PUBLIC videos.

@Antithropocentric you don't exactly want your target running off and suffering after you shot it dumbass.. the .22-250 is a slightly lighter and smaller round but with a greater amount of powder behind it, causing faster velocities, there is a small but discernible difference in the rounds. Besides, quit being an ignoramus and learn to read the title of the video. it clearly says, "Pig shot by my daughter with 22-250", if thats going to disturb you, why click on it?

Wow, great shot. Hog seemed to expire quickly which means the bullet did exactly what it was supposed to. Don't know who this Burton guy is but apparently they aren't real sure how the steaks they're chewing on die either... trust me, after the bolt gun crushes in their heads, they kick a little too. Far less of an honorable death than what the pig in this video got. Congrats to the young lady for making a quick and ethical kill.
