My interest is in mother ducks' behavior. To test whether or not a mother duck has true love: (1) put her into a dangerous situation (e.g. stoning her) and force her to fly away (2) physically abuse her baby ducks (e.g. break their legs, tear off two little wings) so that they keep chirping and crawling (3) stand beside these baby ducks (4) see whether the mother duck has the courage to come back to protect her baby ducks. I've tested (1) - (4) in at least 30 occasions => NO mothers come back.

Terrible.. Mice CAN swim, but that doesn't mean they want to. You could tell that poor mouse was just trying to get out by the way it was clawing at the side of the tub. I don't think the duck really minded being there, but you could tell the mouse didn't want to be. Blatant cruelty.
