Also betta fish can be pricey, if you want a quality breeder. I've done a simple water treatment for a sick fish before, when it had a fungal disease.

Thats cruel. Bettas should have there own tank. They do not need a filter, heater or a huge tank. About 2 gallons is good. Thats torture please dont make them fight. You just got my thumbs down.

They fight by their nature, there is nothing wrong. Sure, they are put to fight for our own amusement. But again, does fish keeping really make fish happy, or we keep fish simply for our own amusement as well? You probably won't btch about it either if someone is feeding feeder fish to an Oscar, despite that's also for the owner's amusement. If you are a vegan, however, then I have no reason to convince you of anything.

You guys do know that this really isn't animal cruelty, right? If two pairs of fish who look the same are inside the same bowl/tank, they are going to fight. It's not animal cruelty, it's just nature. Trust me, I had two fish who looked the same fight as well.

@Turbo200X Yeah, it is their nature. Point is though that you are specifically told when you purchase the fish to NOT PUT THEM TOGETHER because you are wanting them to fight. It's practically the same as dog fighting. That's illegal, and it's also been made illegal to put betta fish together in the same tank with the intention to make them fight. You might as well have bought dead fish.
You need a big tank and lots of plants and rocks to keep two bettas together without fighting intentions.

Please, it is not, I am really against violence ; however, i do love these fishes and i do put them in these kinds of fighting because that's their natural characteristic, they are born to fight and when we do these matches, it's just a kind of practice for them, we only let them fight for not more than 5 minutes and after that we will take care of them with great concerns, idk about others but that's what i do.

@fr93274 Fish are pets to many people, bettas are a really interesting breed of fish. I have bonded with my bettas because I train them to do tricks for food. Also betta fish can be pricey, if you want a quality breeder. I've done a simple water treatment for a sick fish before, when it had a fungal disease.
Everyone would know the nature of a betta, males WILL attack if put together in a small tank. These were put there to harm each other for this video. I find it pathetic and lame.

Yes, that's great for your fish. It doesn't mean the other 99.9% of the world handle them with such care and give them such friendship. Stating that Male bettas Will Attack is an assumption. Granted most probably will fight. But that doesn't mean all will. Even if 999 pairs out of 1000 fight that means you are wrong. And unfortunately for you, you can't prove me wrong in this case without pitting 2000 betta against each other.
