yo whats up man i just got the mv8800 do you have to start your tracks in song to sequence them i loaded my sounds on the first pattern and have trouble seq let me know what im doing preciate the help homie
@kinkalani sorry for the late reply....I usually build all my tracks in sequence mode and separate tracks rather than in song mode (a friend of mine usually builds in song mode). The MV gives you three options sequence, song and pattern mode to do your building. I find working in sequence mode you can build faster and have multi tracks, pattern mode I use for performance to flip the track for entertainment factor, song mode i don't have much experience in it.
@ccfunk1 this that wants happening lately!!! cause you're not the first person to mention that. LOL...I hope that's not want other producers on youtube are doing. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
use what you have people. I started out with a PC and Fruity 3 lol. Now i have damn near everything. MV 8800, fantom, axiom 49 key, tascam fw 1884, m box 2 pro, pro tools 8, sonar, audition 3, reason 4, and fruity 8. >>>> guess what, that shit dont mean a thing>>>>> remember guys, some artist use to beat box and spit over that and made millions!!! Make Music!!
hardware over software brother..all the time..aint 2 many people agree w that nowadays but let me tell u this-software aint puttin us outta business.music comes from instruments (hardware) not PC... and instruments make u a musician not no fruity loops.. i dont care what Reason or Logic got to offer, i just dnt. i agree u can make a dope beat on your pc but u shouldnt use a pc to make MUSICpeople should understand that... call me old fashioned... the only software i use is pro tools for trackin
They are both hardware equipped with software, it only comes down to which tool has the most capabilities with regards to giving the artist more control over their sound.
I totally agree man. what do these guys think? The hardware has the software in it. I agree that some "hardware" sounds better but in the end, all of its processed through Software. All these companies are going to software believe me. I give it three years
not as long as there's a market for hardware. that would include myself. if not, i'll buy old mpc's and other old samplers. everyone's licking their chops thinking about the mv 9000...
im 1000% there wit you shit if it was up to me i would have tons of racks and every synthesizer out there but wen your on a budget software is the way

Nah not true at all!
A PC works the same way as a drum machine.
They are both hardware equipped with software, it only comes down to which tool has the most capabilities with regards to giving the artist more control over their sound.
and I use em all fam.

i'm buying an mv-8800 soon, but do you have any expertise on the mpc 2000xl? nobody has done anything worthwhile instruction-wise.
