Cyndi is just good. She really gets this song. To me this is a sad song by a lonely woman who needs her life to have more love. It doesn't seem right when I hear others sing this in a more upbeat manner.

I love Cyndi Lauper, don't get me wrong....but she killed this song, no matter what other people say. It's not meant to be sung this way, it's supposed to be a sort of lulling of the words that only jazz singers or the sort can sing, and this was just a bad, bad, unfortunate cover of the song
