i don't personally think messi's finishing was ever all that great, its just that he's completely untacklable

at this point last season, he might have failed to dribble past his defender once per game

what he needs is some quality rest and some games coming off the bench if the team is struggling ala racing last season, barca needs him fresh for madrid

and i also believe its bcus ibra is not mobile enough in the forward position like ecto was thats why messi cant cut thru and score most often.

Hes may be not at hes best form in scoring goals, but he is at hes best at dribling and team play, so when he gets the form to score, everything in barca will be great,. Btw Im a real fan so Im not lying xD

But its the other way, he is in form scoring, not dribbling.. He has scored 6 goals in 8 games in la liga for barca. And he scored 2 goals in 3 Champion league games. its 8 goals in 11 games.

yeah. I noticed that too. He's definetly getting back to his old self but he just had really bad luck in this game. He made good passes to the forwards but they didn't stop the ball right and lost the chance to score and hence lost his assist.
