Fr. Richard Simon's homily explains why it's better to be a slave than free person in the parable about The Master entrusting talents to three of his servants. But, Fr. Simon (a Greek teacher & scholar for more than 25 years) explains that the Greek word is not "servant" but is "slave" which, as he explains, puts a very unique meaning to today's Gospel reading ( Matthew 25:14-30). A very interesting sermon!
