This isn't as weird as you people are making it out to be. Breastfeeding is in no way sexual and is a natural process that a mature woman's body goes through. Think about baby dolls in general, what do they encourage? The raising of children? That requires sex, and as we all know little girls should not have sex. @RJenne1234 I nursed my son 15 months and my daughter 18. Kids don't have a long term memory until about 4 4 1/2 years old and even then it's spotty. My daughter doesn't remember being nursed at all but has never seen a baby take a bottle either. She thinks the bottles look kind of like sippy cups and are for her and she tries to nurse the baby dolls anyways. It must be human nature as she doesn't remember the 1 time she saw my sister nurse her baby.

I love it!! I have a neighbor who is from spain and is going back this summer. I know what I wnat her to ship back to for my little girl. My kids only know about breast feeding. I remember "nursing" my babydolls even though I never saw a woman doing it. I do not think a 5 or even 10 year old need this in depth training, it's down right creepy. If we "need" to go as far as teaching them healthy baby feeding habits when they're this age, what next? Should we have them in the room during conception so they no the best position for conceiving? Should we have toy ovulation tests as well? This is play time we are talking about, not training. I have three kids (2 girls 5 &3) I used toy bottles when I was 5, breastfed with them, no confusion there!

I agree with breastfeeding, I breast fed my first daughter and plan to do the same with my daughter who is due in a couple weeks, but I would definitely not buy this doll for my girls. I mean even if an older sibling wants to pretend to feed the baby like mommy they can do so with a regular baby doll and without the suckling. Gotta love how many people are arguing the idea that bottle feeding is "wrong" or "Un-natural". Not every can breast feed, some can breastpump or some just have to use formula. I don't think a little kid needs a doll that has this feature.

Anyone who has breastfed a child for the World Health Organization's recommended 2+ years knows that kids MUCH younger than the girl in this video all pretend to nurse babies. Even my son did! When breastfeeding is a multiple-times a day, natural, ongoing part of the parent-child relationship it would be odd for a kid NOT to immitate it when "parenting" their own babies. My only thought on this doll is that it's uneeded as little kids will "nurse" the dolls and teddy bears they already have.

@RJenne1234 I nursed my son 15 months and my daughter 18. Kids don't have a long term memory until about 4 4 1/2 years old and even then it's spotty. My daughter doesn't remember being nursed at all but has never seen a baby take a bottle either. She thinks the bottles look kind of like sippy cups and are for her and she tries to nurse the baby dolls anyways. It must be human nature as she doesn't remember the 1 time she saw my sister nurse her baby.

Okay, while I don't believe we need to be putting ideas in the heads of little girls making them want babies and possibly up the teen mother issue... This isn't a horrible idea. But what makes me sick is the fact that anyone could even put the "SEXUAL" label on something like nurishing your baby. If you think it's sexual, you're a sick f*ck for putting so much sexual thought into little girls. Pull your head out of the gutter. You sound like you're in junior high.

I love it!! I have a neighbor who is from spain and is going back this summer. I know what I wnat her to ship back to for my little girl. My kids only know about breast feeding. I remember "nursing" my babydolls even though I never saw a woman doing it. There is so many battery operated dolls on the market that drink bottles, why not a "breast feeding" one for all the little girls who KNOW how a baby should be fed!

@rumpietump I agree with you. I think maybe the halter top may be too much, but the idea is a good idea. I understand they are trying to promote breast feeding so it feels natural and more girls grow up wanting to nurse their children. I nursed both of my children. (11 months for my daughter and 15 months for my son) I remember my daughter nursing her babies when she was younger. Now she doesn't really seem to remember being nursed.

When my 4 yr old asks why i have breasts i tell her, to feed my babies. i have told her that i was unable to breastfeed her because she had acid reflux and i didn't produce enough. I think it is just important to let children know of all the ways to feed a baby. Not just with a bottle, Perhaps this was why it seemed so gross to you lovesfoxes, for years as a child you were only exposed to bottle feeding. We wouldn't see is as odd to introduce a child to baby doll cloth diapers verses disposable

This is not a game, pretending to feed a child in just one of the few ways you can do so. Just as baby dolls are made to pee and children can change their diapers. My daughter after watching me feed my son, pretended to do this with many of her dolls and stuffed animals, just as other children would pretend to feed their babies with a bottle. There is nothing sexual about this, the breast is not a organ directly used in reproduction.

I do not think a 5 or even 10 year old need this in depth training, it's down right creepy. If we "need" to go as far as teaching them healthy baby feeding habits when they're this age, what next? Should we have them in the room during conception so they no the best position for conceiving? Should we have toy ovulation tests as well? This is play time we are talking about, not training. I have three kids (2 girls 5 &3) I used toy bottles when I was 5, breastfed with them, no confusion there!

okay, yeah it's awesome and way more healthy to breast feed but... little girls should not be forced to 'grow up' so soon they have decades before they should even be THINKING about "oh hey, I wonder what I will do and how i will feed my baby when i have one"

I agree with breastfeeding, I breast fed my first daughter and plan to do the same with my daughter who is due in a couple weeks, but I would definitely not buy this doll for my girls. I mean even if an older sibling wants to pretend to feed the baby like mommy they can do so with a regular baby doll and without the suckling. For a lot of kids I think its to soon to get that in depth as to what breastfeeding entails.

Gotta love how many people are arguing the idea that bottle feeding is "wrong" or "Un-natural". Not every can breast feed, some can breastpump or some just have to use formula. I don't think a little kid needs a doll that has this feature.

Anyone who has breastfed a child for the World Health Organization's recommended 2+ years knows that kids MUCH younger than the girl in this video all pretend to nurse babies. Even my son did! When breastfeeding is a multiple-times a day, natural, ongoing part of the parent-child relationship it would be odd for a kid NOT to immitate it when "parenting" their own babies. My only thought on this doll is that it's uneeded as little kids will "nurse" the dolls and teddy bears they already have.
