  • BRILLIANT !.TAKES ME AND ME MISSES BACK TO OUR YOUTH.INNOCENT AND HAPPY TIMES......... .THEN WE GREW UP.:-)

  • God! I remember Michael Bentine's Potty Time! I never thought i'd see this again, thanks for posting.

  • POTTY for REAL!!! Why were these progs SO different from the NONSENSE most kids shows now are?? I try make my 5year old watch as many of these old shows as poss man. AND Oni LOVES most of them... BLESS

  • My God,Michael Bentine pre-predicted Osama Bin Laden before he was actually found!

  • gr8 times I watched this a s a kid as I did with Love thy neighbour ,black and white minstrels etc shame about the PC SHIT and sensitive ethnics.

    well done Michael

  • It's a shame that people keep mentioning the racism thing. It just spoils a good old school programe that was pure fun. It's a sad reflection on the way of the world today if as soon as you see this, racism and political correctness springs to mind. What the fuck is so correct about a politician anyway?

  • LOL hold on to your turbans ;P best line eva :L

  • Lol this is fab.... Hold onto your turbans!

  • SO Michael was hiding Bin Laden. Thought so.

  • Top stuff, remember watching this after school!

  • brilliant thanks for the UL

  • Its my old mate .. T. ali ban.. served with him in ww2

  • WTF is this?!

  • Mate, was brought up on Potty Time

If you were 10 years older so would have you.

Innocent times, you had to be there.

  • I'm 33, and this shit was never on when I was a kid.

  • All a matter of taste

you probably watched some other " shit" instead.

  • I agree with you. I am 43 and this was a part of my childhood. Entertainment was less slick and based more on your imagination that special effects. Sure, looking back on it you can say it was racist, but you can't judge the past by the standards of the present.

  • amen

  • u thick cunt

  • Such a wit. @dubyamoney

  • Loved this show as kid, funny to watch again XD

  • lol was crazy programme..........pipkins was cool 2

  • loved this show, how they made the tiny explosions and the invisible footprints perplexed me.top class.

  • BRILLIANT. Innocently marvellous. Probably couldn't have it on TV no w as it isnt PC.

  • this is timeless tv..

  • Michael Bentine - the 4th Goon

  • ....priceless......

  • It makes me laugh that the Al Qaeda-type character would never be allowed to be transmitted on childrens' TV nowadays! How politically incorrect in today's standards but so innocent :)

  • Just showed my two kids this..their mouths are still open... brings back so many good memories... still giggling now... bring on the battles!!

  • so do i remember the battles it was so funny , you forgot the explosions . does anyone know if they are on the net

  • So that's where Osama Bin Laden got to!

  • the man is a legend and sorely missed in the comedy world along with his great pal spike milligan R.I.P mr potty and co

  • met.. Michael Bentine while filming it's a square world , in Black park , bucks back in 1978 ish funny man clean good fun ..

  • i remember this as an innocent 7 year old. i saw nothing but a bit of fun on tv. the world is way to serious now.

  • I LOVED this show when I was a kid!

  • GOOD GOD, its al-jazeera! wheres the potties then?

  • Oh the memories

  • please has anyone got the fleas ???? they were brilliant!!!!

  • This is great,,trying to explain this to my kids and here it is

  • Maybe un-PC but I'lll tell you that I knew an Indian guy at school. He was watching Potty Time in which an Indian sikh potty was saying "On my goodness gracious" and he was laughing his head off at it. I'm Scottish and I used to laugh at Hamish on Ken Dodd's Diddymen so why should Indian or Pakistani people find this offensive. We actually have to beawre of the PC people who take offence on their behalf.

  • You make a good point. There is a fine line between being funny and being racist and the PC brigade don't seem to know where that line is. The backlash against PC has already started but we can never go back to the days of Jim Davidson and Bernard Manning.

  • @Cool2BCeltic cos they wanna be noticed and whoa is me type of shit. Basically they wanna be welcomed here and they r not

  • Is there any tapes of the bumblies out there?,

perhaps the nuttiest goon of all! he would do anything to make people laugh a real idiot genius.

  • awesome ok here is an appeal to bentine/potty time fans anyone out there recall the flea battles and the other characters that he had if anyone has any original tv video footage

please get it on the tube Quick

  • Yes i remember the flea circus acts i.e diving board. The memories come flooding back!!!

  • yeh I loved the 'invisible' battles...watching the little footprints appear as if by magic.

    Great memories!

  • really loved it, want to see more , all my friends thought i was mad cos they didnt remember this. micheal bentine was brill cant remember what age i was when i watched but its a real nice childhood memory plz show more

  • Were'nt shows like this great!Michael Bentine was VERY talented I think, but was overshadowed to some extent by the other ex Goons, like Seacombe,Sellers etc when he should'nt have been.Remember watching this and laughing out loud and my dad loved it too!

  • I was never impressed by Seacombe, mind you I never saw the early stuff of his, so maybe I'm biased. To me, Michael Bentine was the ultimate and the only other person I ever put at that level was Spike Milligan. If there are people who deserve to be legends in the dawn of civilization sense, I'd put these at the top of the list.

  • such a happy chappy. his laugh was amazing. thats probebly what made the little people so cute. god bless.

  • WHAT I MAN HE WAS

  • Loved it.

Haven't seen the Thames Television screen for over 20 years either.
