Ragnarok not ragnorok. Ragnarok means when the world will die in ancient norse. Or to be fully honest the day when the world will burn. Ragna means the end, and rök means smoke.

I have a relatively scratched up copy and it works perfectly. I dont know where you got the whole "It scratches extremely easily and makes it unplayable" but its simply not true.

I think it was your whole "The discs scratch real easy" which isnt the case for JUST this particular game. Its the case with every ps1 game...

Xena has a episode where she is a Valkyrie and stuff. Worth checking out if your into Valkyries. Its in the later seasons. Hercules also did a few episodes with Thor and Loki. Also fun.

The two are almost exactly the same, except there are less bugs in the PSX version, PSP version has video cutscenes, and is in a widescreen aspect ratio.
