Actually the real reason why Nickelodeon Cancelled Invader Zim was an Episode being reenacted by a serial killer. The episode was Dark Harvest. In that Episode, Zim replaced all the children's organs with... Stuff! Yeah... I miss the Old Nickelodeon when it was GOOD AND SCORED POINTS!

I would love it if they created a RetroNick (80's-90's) with shows that I grew up with like Mr. Wizard, YCDTOTV, NickRocks, leading into the 90's with shows like Doug, CatDog and Ren and Stimpy. Some of your history is wrong. Nickelodeon was released in 1977 as Pinwheel and was renamed Nickelodeon in 1979. Hey Arnold and Rugrats ended in 2004. Nickelodeon's last good creations were Catscratch and True Jackson VP. And their new live-action shows released between 2004-2005 weren't that bad. I hate the channel now only because of its new logo. The old logo was the last part of my childhood and was the only reason why i still watched Nickelodeon.

Bit whoop. When I made this, it's beyond me why I forgot to add spongebob in, however, I am dissappointed in the idea that nickelodeon feels it necessary to mass all their strength behind it. Great. Spongebob is the ONLY nicktoon remaining from the 90's. But notice that people want to watch all the other shows. That signifies that Nickelodeon chose to make the decision on their own behalf to ONLY continue spongebob. They abandoned the old cartoons.

Actually, as it turns out, this show was turned over to the Nicktoons channel. They aired 13 episodes. The show was cancelled, however, two of the shows within were turned into series, those shows being Adventure Time (On Cartoon Network) and Fanboy and Chum Chum (On Nickelodeon).

Largely a good summary, but one major thing: no mention of Double Dare? There's a good chance we'd have no Nickelodeon today if it weren't for Double Dare.  Nick struggled in the ratings until Double Dare premiered, then there was no looking back.

I was deeply dissapointed when they didn't release "Random Cartoons" I used to love Oh Yeah Cartoons when it played on Nicktoons and I was looking forward to Random Cartoons. Oh well it ended up backfiring on them with the release of "Adventure time" which was originally on that show. They had a gold mine hidden under that name and they were to stupid to realize it.

The history then was incomplete leaving out orig nick live action shows.

I think NIckelodeon has gone down hill.

The really have not had any really good shows since the orig live action shows.

Oh they did rerun some of the orig Nick live action shows on Noggin before changing it to Nickteen. They reran the above mentioned shows.
