The idea that man must somehow "relent" to God in order to be saved is flawed at its core. Sure, man seeks God, but only because God sought the man first.
This would dictate that God attempts to save some, but fails. But scripture teaches us that God is perfect and can not fail.

Christians are, by DEFINITION, saved. It's redundant and pointless. I have to conclude that he's making another point: that God's sovereign will is that everyone be saved, but that His personal will dictates that we may choose to disobey and go to hell.
