Only difference from what is happening in Portland that differs from any other urban area is that the takeover is solely race based where in places like NYC and Chicago it Based on if you have the money regardless of your color just have the green. I appreciate this man's views on the situation and this he has a lot of good points about the inequity going on. However, I don't think that getting into being homophobic really contributes anything, it just add to the harm. What Oregonians need to realize is the powers that be in Portland are actively promoting this "gentrification" by promoting Portland to the large urban centers in the east. This is their plan to dominate and remove anyone who does not share their urban liberal politics. This is the root of the problem and we need to stand up and discourage it.!

AMEN! portland has been redlined over and over throughout the years and oregon has always been an extremely divided state in terms of race. look at what happened to the pearl district and you'll see what's coming for the rest of this city: a poofy, fagged out, fake ass beverly hills transplant supported by the influx of white californians and local affluent white folks. it's sad man, they're raping our city and there isn't a damn thing we can do!
