  • a real good solid ground is not your seat bracket.

  • you could have saved hella time and ran those wires to the wire harness that you used to wire that aftermarket deck

  • thats a clean setup man, but u could have saved alot of time by running the wires right behind the deck

  • @akumpula I can help you on that easily

  • so that box under the back seat also serves as a battery? cuz i have mine connected to the battery under my hood but lately my car doesn't want to start when i have it connected so no i don't have it connected.

  • Dude, move your fuses. You want the fuses right next to the battery. If one of those wires gets cut before those fuses and shorts it'll heat up and start a fire. The closer to the battery the better.

  • lol factory dock? hahahahahha

  • that doesn't look like a factory head unit man

  • @slasthegunslinger101 shit my bad, ignore this thing people.

  • I would not use factory speakers

  • dud u just talk to much

  • Don't know when you'd get this but any tips on removing the factory radio and where to drill through the firewall to get my wiring for the amp and subs?

  • why would u want an amp for your stock speakers? Just have one for ur subs...

  • thank this video helps a lot.i hope you un hooked the wires to the head unit stereo.not the best idea to amp your outputs on the stereo you could fry it lmao.gracias por favor

  • You should never connect any power wires to your computer cluster underneath the rear seat in a trailblazer you will end up blowing a ECM or all of the computers there

    Check out my trailblazer vids

  • what amp is that? could anyone tell me a good cheap 4 channel amp?

  • @ededdneddy7 hit the local walmarts or best buy if you dont wana buy new hit a pawn shop real cheap there

  • Grounding to a seat is absolutely a horrible idea.. find somewhere hidden and sand down to bare metal and use a self tapping screw.. its not hard and is a million times better and safer

  • Lmao

  • Thanks for explaining in more detail how to remove the door...the other video on youtube plain sucks...no commentary.

  • So the speaker aren't connected to the head unit just the amp?

  • if i already have the rca cable running to my amp which is connected to my sub...how can i connect rca cables to the speaker amp;lifier? i hope i made sence.. thanks !!!

  • @yamaha0729 you need a double rca cable. basically it turns 1 rca cable into 2. you can buy them offline or at you nearest automotive store. well you can in NZ anyway. hope this helps.

  • good video but why the heck wouldnt you get those shit stock speakers out if your doing all that work?

  • howmuch and type of wire kit did you bbuy for your amp?

  • i have a stock deck and stock speakers but there really good not the crapy kinds. and i have 2 10inch subs and a 4 channel amp. ifi want to hook them up in the car. what needs to be done? do i need to change the deck in the car to hook them up? or just buy a wireiing kit and no need for the deck?

  • bleh..prefab box...haha.

  • because i have a sub i just want a decent set of door speakers but i dont want to be just hearing bass

  • erm do people always wire up the the door panel speakers to the amp or can you just wire up a set of after market speakers straight to the radio if so what sounds better

  • @fridgeman92 yes you can you need speaker harnesses and when you unplug your speaker you plug the harness to the wire you just unplugged and then plug it into the speaker and there you are and it goes to your head unit and an amp sounds better but if you have a nice head unit it is pretty good also.

  • Quick question why did you not run it through the 2nd rubber gromet to it would look a lot cleaner

  • Where did you install the vacuum cleaner?

  • Ive Been Looking For A Video Or Hints On Connecting A 4 Channel Amp For So Long, & Your Video Is The Only One That Made Sense!..Thanks Bro!

  • Do they use the same camera filming porn, uhhh..

  • damn ur shit is clean dude

  • was it necessary to use a fucking fish eye camera>?

  • how much did this system cost u?

  • Good vid dude. Question: I have an aftermarket head unit without rca's. Can this still be done? Apparently you run rca's to your amp and then to the 4 speakers.

  • so theres 4 rca's in which is one for each speaker?

  • @boomstickkid i believe 2 come from the deck to the amp, and then the other 2 g to the amp beside it which is powering the sub

  • @boomstickkid Two of the RCA's are input from the headunit (cd player) and the other two are output from the speaker amp to the sub amp. this is because without the output he couldn't use the second amp. (it would have a source of audio)

  • THANKS VIDEO HELPED A LOT AND HOW WOULD I ADD TWEETERS TO IT

  • You really don't need to do all the work you did. You can do a 4 ch without taking door panels off. Just cut the speaker leads from your wiring harness. Run speaker line from the speaker side to amp. Loads easier than what you did. I did car audio professionally for 6 yrs, and this is how we did all of them, other than Bose.

  • Not a factory radio

  • Does anyone realize that he referred to that aftermarket cd player as a "factory cd player"?

  • Why the hell would you power factory speakers with an amp? That's like putting a 3.5L V6 from the 2011 Mustang into the body of a Pinto.

This is one of the sloppiest installs I've ever seen, and you have no reason to be making DIY videos dude.

  • @johnnycashak is a 3.7l... but ya... lol

  • not that its a huge deal but you have ur rca's a lil too tight seems as if they are pulled to the back of the seat which could lead to the ends of the rca's easily being pulled out or broken other then that looks like a decent wiring job... i wouldnt really sauter your wires you should use either moon caps or other types of connectors

  • not that its a huge deal but you have ur rca's a lil too tight seems as if they are pulled to the back of the seat which could lead to the ends of the rca's easily being pulled out or broken other then that looks like a decent wiring job

  • Question. If I got a 2 channel amp can I wire the 2 front speakers to one channel and the 2 rear speakers to the other?

  • @dsmrocker Functionally it would work (nothing would explode). But, doing that would lose stereo sound, which will sound horrible.

If you want to power all 4 speakers off of a 2 channel amp, a better idea would be to power both left side speakers (front and rear) off of one channel, and the two right side speakers (front and rear) off of the other channel

  • u needa separate ur power nd speaker wires.

  • say if you run the wires from the amp to the specker wires behind the deck and connected the amp specker wires with the factory wires so you dont have to open up everything??? is that a good idea or will it cause a problem?

  • hey 420 on the clock

  • Tell me if i'm right or wrong but can't you just connect the amp to your wiring harness wires?

  • Are you useing a fisheye lens?why eyes are warping

  • You don't need a second amp I have a 2008 trailblazer lt and it sounds great with my subs trailblazers ready come with factory amp they sound good

  • Odd, I upgraded my stock speakers to infinitis and the stock speakers did not have the tweeter, it was just one woofer cone. I have a 2007 non-bose trailblazer ls

  • Wow... People please don't listen to this guy. First off if you are going to run wires into the door take the time and run it with the factory wiring. They way he did it will cause the wire to go bad over time and fry the amp. Second if you are going to be using factory speakers there is no need to run new wires into the door when you car tap them behind the radio. DONT TAP THE BATTERY WHERE HE DID. This can cause electrical problems with the car. You need to tap to the battery in the engine bay

  • @whiteboy477 you are partly right. he shouldnt have put the wires through the door like that, but you are wrong also because its a bad idea to use the stock wiring when you are powering the speakers with an amplifier. and where he got his power from is completely safe. COMPLETELY. I personally would never get my power from there, because well, my trailblazer system has four runs of 0 gauge wire, and the wire from the battery to that power center is 6 gauge.

  • @redlinecaraudio. Right you do want to run new speaker wire to the speakers for the amp but your better off tapping the factory wire behind the radio then running wires as he did. I would FIRE any of my guys on the spot no questions ask if they did this to a car.

  • you could save ALOT of time . insted of taking the doors apart to get to the speaker wires you can just go from your amp and run 4 wires to the clip behind your radio .

  • @dassme1 Saving time isn't what one is after when doing a wiring job. Most of the time stock wiring can't handle the power the amp provides.

  • dont wire your amps to the battery under your backseat... its not strong enough.. its meant for the seats, lights, climate control and some other stuff but not much more than that... imo quit being lazy and run it through to the main battery and use a bigger gauge wire lol. to each their own, but it makes a big difference.. just my 2 cents.

  • just an fyi observation for those with a bose system; Bose stereos usually have their own individual amps behind each speaker from what ive heard, just wanted to throw that out there!

  • @JimmishJJJoeBOBjr the bose amp to all the door speakers is behind the back right panel in the trunk. ^

  • lol @ how his voice breaks from time to time.

  • question. what did you do with the facttory speaker wires? did you unhook them from the speaker and cap the ends? how did you disconnect the speakers from your deck?

  • why have you got 4 rca cables in the back??? please get back asap, as i think my amp needs them aswell, im abit confused about it

  • @andrey2k8 Front and Rear

  • @andrey2k8 the first to from the original sound source in this case the factory speakers and the other two are for the line out into the other amp

  • Thanks, good video.

  • yeah true bruv surprised you aint blown them up yet man

  • this is gay after all that work spend the extra loot for after market speakers that can handle more than 35 watts geez

  • can i un-hook the factory wires from the speaker that goes to the Unit, and just run a wire from the speakers to the amp?

  • To fix it run a 2 or 4 gauge wire to that box directly from your battery,(You will need an terminal adapter) from there take the 80 fuse to the hood, then simply run through your firewall to your box, then terminate the end and attach it to the screw hold in the fuse box.... many an hour fix..... have any question ask

  • DONT try powering your system off that second fuse box.... it will seems like it will hold but it doesnt.... hes powering sooo much off such a little source. That wire that goes to that box is only 8 guage and only meant for that fuse box..... plus as soon as you run a real dedicated line your system will really see what your system can do... take it from me.. i tried it.... Not enough power to a sub or speaker system=blown speakers.

  • if i connected my wires 2 the amp n then the speakers would it sound better or blow it up?

  • @prolineermadness both. it will sound better.....,but if the bass is up theyl blow

  • You did a lot of work for that. You already changed out the deck, all you needed to do was run your pre-outs and speaker wires to the back of your deck. The only time you need to do anything with the wires going to the speakers from the deck is if your going with a powerful amp. Factory wire usually 14-16ga. will do if your going 50watts or less. Anything higher I rebuild the wire harness with 12ga. and run new wire to the speakers, delete all old wire. More power, needs bigger wire

  • you know u dont have to run new wires to the doors.. u just have to connect the wires from the amp to that nice new harness you bout.. u did alot of fun extra work for nothing

  • what you mean he did all that for nothing?

  • yea bro

  • How much should it cost 2 install a amp

  • That's gotta be the most vague question I've ever seen..

Amps can cost anywhere from $30 up, and you do get what you pay for.

If you're not sure, go to somebody local, they're in that business for a reason.

  • LOL OK I JUST ASKED HOW MUCH TO GET 1 installed as to askin who the cheapest but NVM

  • No idea dude, I mis-understood your question though, thought you meant to get a system and all that.

Just don't go with Best Buy, anybody I've ever heard that goes with Best Buy always has issues.

  • how did those stock speakers sound after being amped?

  • Not super good..

I will say if you get crossovers to block the lower frequencies, they do sound pretty good. It's all about blocking the right frequencies..

  • oh. i was just wondering anyway. i have all pioneer d series components and speakers in my car all amped and im gonna be honest your video helped me out when i did it like almost a year ago lol

  • That's my goal in my TB, get components all around, highschool part-time jobs don't really leave much extra spending money though lol.

A video I posted helped? Glad to hear ;)

  • Haha I feel you on that! Took me like almost a year to save up for my system! But now its pretty much done and I just got hids that are amazing not too long ago too

Haha yeah man this video helped me run the speaker wire to each speaker from the amp.

  • You Might Want To Be Careful putting That Heazy Watt Amp To Those Stock Speakers!!

  • question i have twoo tens sub bazooka anda bazooka amp 300 watss i blow the fuse that was 25 and i replace it wiith a 40 fuse in the back of the amp now the amp donst work did blow my amp

  • no u need a 25-30 amp fuse 40 is to high for the amp

  • lol if your fuse blows don't just replace it with a higher one... it blew for a reason cus there was a problem that is the reason of a fuse to blow up to protect the amp.

  • Ummm, you have an AFTER-MARKET radio installed...stock radios rarely have RCAs on the back...you should have run the power cables to the battery, and not cheated with the box under the 2nd row seats...and other than that, I have no reason why you'd waste your time amplifying crappy stock speakers, you'd have been better off buying speakers that weren't made with foam and paper

  • @CrazyRay7979

maybe he dont got money to buy after market speakers

  • @CrazyRay7979 You can get a used set for $60 on craigslist

  • @CrazyRay7979 In his case most likly...I have bose in my suv and they are fregging BETTER and SOUND AWESOME and wayy louder with an amp... First of all its not exactly cheated with the terminal under the seat since its a 4 channel amp its not a huge load. BUt what he did as 2 amps to it wasnt the best idea, Even thought I DONT use the under chair just because I dont think Its ok, And if it isnt Im not paying $ to get some shit fixed. But a small amp like a 4 channel wont be bad. I think

  • who tha fuk is hoovering!!!!!!!!!

  • this guy is better than exper village

  • very good video nice men how you charge capacitor gracias men ,,,,

  • did you ever get whine nosie coming out the speakers after you amped them?? (when the Enging Rev's)

  • wow u got a kicker amp, arent those really expensive?

  • not really

  • you should tell people where you ran your accessory wire two bro or if you didnt know its the remote wire accessory is a wire that turns on when your car is in accessory it sends a signal to turn the amp on basically the hardest thing to find when installing an amo/sub in a factory setting

  • nice tut good setup

  • great video, and great walk through.

    clear, concise, easy to understand.

very good video quality. the install is very clean looking.

Very nice. This is what a tutorial should look like. 5/5!

  • If you have a Bose system, you shouldn't need an amp, it has one for it

  • hi cool video i havve an o@ but we almost have tha same look on the blazer the thing is you stiring weel is difrent is it ik to coneckt the power wire under the sit in the fuse box? does not need to be in a direckt batter ( + ) COST IM THINGKING PUTTING ONE TO PLS RESPONCE TNX

  • Good Video!! very helpful ..but u think u can make a video to show how you connected your 2 amps together u know what mean thank 5/5

  • what guage wire do i need for a 900watt amp?

  • 4 age or bigger would do

  • I have to admit.. I too amplified OEM speakers. I have an 06' Hyundai Elantra and basically do not have the funds to buy aftermarket speakers. It is only temporary but I am totally satisfied with the difference so far.

btw i have a 4-channel Blaupunkt GTA4 750w (55w x 4 @4ohm) I plan to add components to the front and a nice set of 6x9's to the rear. Can't wait to complete the install!!

  • You keep saying factory stereo...looks after market to me!

  • two things, one why would you use the factory speakers an two that is not the factory head unit

  • hey, great install, but in the future, you can feed the wire through the factory boot, that runs the wires for your power windows, and power locks. the only problem with the way you did it, is a water leek. if it rains or wask your car, the water can seep through.

  • there is no form of sub in the front speakers u need to get the vocab down u sound dumb and the dudes comment about looping them is stupid you did it right but yA

  • Hey thanks man this video helped me out today!

  • Did you ever have any problems with the power coming from the fuse box? Some people say do it some say no?

  • hey u know u didnt have to run speaker wire threw the doors all u had to do was run all the wire to the back of the radio and the speaker wire hooked into the back of the raio cut the wires from the radio then hook them into the wires runing from the amp or just use extra sets of rca's it would have looked alot cleaner and cut you time in about 1/4 of the time

  • hey good video man. I just have a question, when you wire the 4 channel amp to the speakers do they still need to be connected to the deck or only to the amp.

  • Only to the amp. So make sure they're not connected to the stereo also.

  • Why would you amplify OEM speakers?

There are dozens of coaxial speakers on the market that out-perform OEM's 5 to 1 without being amplified. Better yet, there are component sets that'll do the same.

You could've replaced every OEM speaker in your ride for less than you spent on that Kicker amp, and I guarantee it would sound better than amplifying those OEMs.

I can see that you meant well, and that you're trying to help people out, but amplifying OEMs doesn't make sense.

  • Great vid man. One question, where did you to connect the the amp remote wires to? I'm installing subs in my 06 TBSS and can't find a good spot to tie in to.

  • great vid i hope you make more i was thinking if you could hook that to an amp vey good vid very good ima try it with my 05 expiditoin it has great stock speakers really surprising anyway great vid do another

  • hey bro can you hook up subs to the stock bose system?

  • if you have a bose system, it will have a factory speaker, most likley a dual voice coil bose 8". most people are gona say waht a waste, but its not that bad. but splice from the factory sub. i know the tahoe's have a sub in the center.

  • Dude i dont understand much but im sure THIS IS FUCKING GREAT
