The US must increasingly fund alternative energy technology while decreasing funds related to warfare. After all, why are we at war?
Keep the money within our boarders employed toward positive objectives.

Energy independence at the individual level, will wreck nations.
Sorry, but centuries worth of human history suggests it's simply not gonna happen.

Wow! The graph (from 3:00 to 4:00) makes a strong case that solar energy (PV) will be a major player in energy production in the near term.
