oh wow, you are probably right. Chihuahuas can get up to (I think) 7 or 8 lbs, but I doubt very much they can weigh as much as 12! I can see where the ID mistake make have been made w/ my dog, because when he was dumped at the shelter he was very underweight, he was about 6lbs, and his features are very very chihuahua.
I have a fat chihuahua that weighs 13 pounds

i bought my dog as a full chihuahua but as he grew i came to the conclusion he is a mix with rat terrier. he is 12 lbs now and almost 4 years old.
