Ummm... can you give any more specific information about that is happening?? is the error message specific and at what point are you getting an error, the moment you run opensim or at some other point in the process?

Do you have vista??? If you do make sure you run the opensim as a administrator, go to the opensim main site and read up on it.

Umm, I will advise you to visit the Opensim website and do some reading, also make sure you know about your computer system, about the firewall configuration and router if you have one.

hi uhm i am already trying to set this up for a day or two but i have one question... can other residents from in second life also go on my sim and can i connect it to the second life grid?

Nope sorry, but for now you cannot transport between your sim and second life, something is being worked on though, but don't think it will be implemented any time so, still have a way to go. You can transport between other sims if you set up Hypergrid with you opensim

You should double check your ports forward. Probably your ports are closed.

is hard to say something without know the error message,but it can be ports or ip address. You can ask for help in the forum url address in the info.
