@vincent7487 Yes they will do, dont worry they wont know you as an individual at a particular location, only a device. This data is then summarised to provide Google and others with useful information. Developers like ourselves can use information such as this to ensure our applications are aimed at the correct language and android version which in turn is better for the users.

Cool video but it could have been 3 minutes shorter. They make the activations shimmer as if something is actually happening, when in fact all the activity basically happens within one day of the new phone models being released and then stops.

@tk421808 What do you mean the activity stops? It's showing the activity for each DAY, not the total activity. That's why it goes up and down and "shimmers." If they were showing TOTAL activations, it would keep going up.

I guess what you're saying would make sense if it were on paper, but putting it on a chronological video visualization makes no sense.

@fixodent. First of all you decide what you want on your phone, you are not depending on the whims of a company. with hysterical morality and rules. Secondly you can alter everything to fit your needs. Don't like the keyboard? Switch to a downloadable one and all apps will use it. Don't like your browser? Well set another to be the standard and all links in apps will use it. Don't like the entire frontscreen interface? Well you get the drift. And all data files are accessible like on a pc.
