My friend actually reccomended this game to me once based soley on the fact it remeinded him of Pikmin, which I am a fan of. So when Yahtzee brought this up I had trouble breathing from laughing so hard.

NO! 'Overlords' is just a horrible 'remake' (and we all hate them) of 'Dungeon Keeper 2' which was a pretty piss poor 'remake' of 'Dungeon Keeper' (which WAS created by Peter Molyneux dun-dun-dun, that's where it came from!!!). All in all, Eugh! Smack that detestable 'Overlords' game away!..

we either get open worlds where you have to search for upgrades or linear games with no real depth. I think developers have forgotten how to give gamers something to do in games.

Overlord raise of hell is better.... MUCH Better than Overlord 2. Overlord 2 was a sell out.... and a "child friendly" version

I'd actually like to see what Yahtzee would say about the Pikmin series. Probably he'd point out it's essentially an awkward RTS in which you control an army of flowers to collect pieces of junk from giant insects.

Hah, hear, hear. About the very same reasons I shelved the game.

I pulled through the original, but being the first counts for a lot. Tackling the sequel right after that, hoping that it was improved just in the right ways to take away the dull aspects, proved to be folly, at the least.

i'd like a non linear Overlord with lots and lots of customization, castle sieges, recruiting a dark army of not only the minions, but generals who can lead a number of minions (how much is up to you) to take over provinces and such.

i was thinking more in lines of a action game with army commanding, but that would be pretty awesome to see actually. I'd play it. and we got the factions already.

Empire, Overlord, Halflings, Dwarves, Elves, and others.
