  • So freaked out by the hand knocking on the window. :'(

  • Awesome and beautiful :O

  • bunny hop hop!

  • I don't know what it is, but there's something about the Quay Brothers' films that give me a placid, calm feeling, regardless of the context of the film--unlike Jan Svankmajer's films, which usually leave me feeling uneasy...it reminds me of the comparison Joseph Cornell made between himself and Max Ernst, where he described Ernst's art as "black magic" and his own as "white magic"...I'm not really sure where I'm going with this, this just goes through my mind as I watch Quay Bros. films.

  • @AliceMoving haha it's all good. i have a dvd set of the quay brothers and this one is by far my favorite. however some of the other videos def make me feel uneasy and anxious. it's odd but i like it when videos/movies/etc. actually make me feel something real.

  • @demonia666chick Sorry for the delayed reply...I definitely agree with you. I love fantasy, horror, & surrealistic films, because they take me to new places emotionally. To be disturbed is to be moved.

  • I watched this in their collection of films and I just fell inlove with the darkness of it, and how it all seems so alive!

  • ok il try to put a meaning to this,,, i dunno why but there is a lot of sexual movements and actions in this film and the little girl and the bunny i think resemble innocence... maybe its the death of innocence and the becoming of a little girl into a full grown woman, or it could also be about rape and how innocence is fragile enough to be torn apart like paper

great film i love the quay bros

  • so beautiful

  • Exquisitely dark.Something akin to this vid's style goes on in my head for How Ghosts Affect Relationships.

  • The way the light moves is beautiful

  • stunning , disturbing , ground breaking , electric,, dark as fuck , delicious

  • @MissPandora1967 thanks, i didn't make it. the brothers quay did. but im glad you enjoy it as much as i do :)

  • @MissPandora1967 you should check out Jan Svankmajer's Alice, based on your comment I think you'd like it. The Quay brothers were heavily inspired by him.

  • I love the work of the Brothers Quay, but I haven't heard His Name Is Alive. I'll have to check them out now... Thanks for posting this!

  • not a problem. i checked them out and loved them so much i went out and bought a CD haha

  • @Nicoi jeje asi es

  • gothic

  • Magnífico.

  • I think I just had an Acid flashback

  • I always think of a Jean Cocteau 'Alice In Wonderland' :]

  • We had to watch this vid in visual arts camp. I was the only person who liked it.

  • You were the only one with taste, then. I fail to see how any student of visual arts could fail to be impressed by this masterpiece.

  • @DickensianDreams Then I have no taste either. It's not like there isn't effort put into it, but I can't regard it as a masterpiece because I can't understand a single second of it. I can't understand what is going on, or why it was ever produced. I should kicked off my course, then, because I fail to live up to your personal stands of taste.
