I'm Persian and I understand this guy very well. I also watch this Afghan Rapper Davood Warrior, something like that, and I have a hard time understanding him. Is this guy just copying Farsi, or do the Herati people speak more like this? I like this guy though, good stuff, I like to see Afghans making modern music.

Herati people speak farsi like this. Its a lil different from persian farsi. All over AFg, they speak Farsi and pashto differently. But its basically the same thing and the same words as the persians speak it. SO yeahhh i like this song 2 :)

He is not copying Farsi...Afghans speak Farsi too, its just the accents differ depending on what part of Afghanistan you are from.

The Farsi spoken in Herat is VERY similar to Iranian Farsi, that is why Iranians can understand Valy since he sings with a Herati accent.

Afghans understand him perfectly too...thus Farsi is our language too, but in Afghanistan its called Dari.

If you got exposed to more Afghan Farsi, you will understand it fluently in less than a month. Trust me :)

Valy is not copying Farsi. Afghans speak Farsi too, its our mother language too. But, the accent is different depending on what part of Afghanistan you are from.

You are correct, people from Herat speak Farsi with an Iranian accent. Their culture is also very similar to Iranian culture, since Herat is very close to the Iranian border.

I bet if you spend time with Afghans for only one month, you will understand us perfectly. Same words, different accents.
