You need to try more if you're going to troll, heh. Nobody even believes that you believe what you wrote, which is the first requirement of trolling effectively.
there is no question that amalgam fillings release mercury, and the establishments response, in the UK at least, is "lalala I'm not listening"
I'd love for them to be proved safe, I have a bunch in my mouth that I'm not removing any time soon. But it seems highly likely that they are in fact not safe. They are safer than having missing or rotten teeth, I'll give you that, but I'm still a little uneasy about the mercury I am now breathing every day.
Why in the world would you think that your mercury fillings are "safer than having missing teeth"? How is empty space more harmful than neuro-degenerative heavy metals?
No, the Chief cannot and will not convince you. Or me. Or the objective observer. "I'm not gonna do this. If you're gonna...trap me". Strange, the idea that this man doesn't consider this a serious question. Ask yourself: How is that question not serious? Also worth noting; this man denies that any studies even exist that show mercury levels remaining in the body over time.
And thats the Chief executive. Oh dear. Many patients are constantly found to have been suffering from various amounts of problems due to mercury exposure. See the video above for evidence against what this idiot money driven fool is advocating.
Only one other metal is more toxic than mercury: plutonium! If mercury is going to be put in our mouths, the burden should NOT be on the public to prove it is harmful, but on dentists, the BDA, and others to prove it is 100% safe. They take us for fools!

Fourth, WMD in Iraq - yes, they existed! You can trust those in authority - with your life!
By the way, the dangers of asbestos were known about hundreds of years ago - even, apparently, 2000 years ago in ancient greece - so why was it still being used in the 1980s, despite the dangers being belatedly highlighted in the 1920s and '30s?
Mercury amalgams are so strong and durable, a sizeable chunk broke off one of my teeth, and I swallowed it! Now I have an unexplained health problem. Is there a link? I don't know!
SAY NO TO MERCURY IN YOUR MOUTH. It's your damn health!
As an update, I had the massive amalgam filling in one of my teeth removed safely - using a rubber dam! One immediate positive result: I no longer have to brush my teeth ten times a day because they feel dirty. I'm now forgetting to brush my teeth as they feel so clean now all the time.
I've left my other amalgams alone. I might change one more. It's time dentists are forced by the public to support the development of a completely safe alternative to mercury amalgam.
White fillings, by the way, aren't known to be 100% safe, as they contain a harmful chemical that causes males to grow breasts, and can cause infertility, prostate and breast cancer. Modern white fillings contain less of this chemical (Bisphenol A), but, again, no one knows how much of it leaks from your fillings.
Gold amalgam I think is the only 100% safe amalgam, but you can't mix mercury amalgams with gold ones - as, if they touch, they undergo a reaction and will damage your teeth.
I'm not saying there's a massive conspiracy - because quite a few dentists themselves have mercury amalgams - but it's time the public demand the development of a completely safe alternative to mercury amalgam. Who in their right minds wants mercury put into their body if it's avoidable?
Gold amalgam is 100% safe, I think, but it's too expensive for most of us.
I think dentists prefer mercury amalgam over white composite because it's a lot easier to work with. Having had a white composite filling, they do require the dentist to take more time and effort. Also, white composite can be fashioned to look like your tooth so that no one knows you have a filling - that, again, means more hassle for the dentist - also means more money, though.
If your principle concern is mercury vapour release you were foolish in having your filling replaced. Particularly on the basis of it being larger than the others in your mouth.
The only scientific body of evidence suggests that the quantities of mercury vapour released are greatest during placement and removal of the restoration... and you've just chosen to have the latter..! What difference does a rubber dam make? It's a vapour, and presumably you have a nose.
I've been taking a mercury chelatin syrup for months - a completely safe one: Humet-R, was once only available to dentists. In any case, to fix that huge filling - a large chunk broke off and I swallowed it - it would have had to have been COMPLETELY drilled out. A normal dentist wouldn't have even used a rubber dam.
My health has been COMPLETELY unaffected by the removal of that massive mercury filling. :o) I noticed an immediate change, though: my mouth no longer feels dirty all the time.
White fillings do contain bis-GMA, some also have bis-DMA, a dangerous chemical (monomer), which is derived from bisphenol-A - a synthetic oestrogen - which some dentist products also have.
One or two composites, I read, are completely free of bisphenol-A and bisphenol-A-derived monomers, but have poor wear characteristics. So, for amalgam durability and strength, it's probably going to mean some bisphenol-A - in one form or another! One excellent composite has just 2.5-5% bis-GMA: Grandio.
A child going to see mr. dentist to have some nice shiny pseudo-silver fillings placed cannot possibly give Informed Consent, neither her healthcare-system trusting parents.
And to criticize those who would seek to regain some health by undertaking the risky removal procedure of these toxic bullets, who's firing the gun again?!
Lifetime sensitisation to this highly toxic heavy metal seems a hefty price to pay for this particular ignorance.
Lalalala, please give me some guidance here. Yesterday I received an amalgam filling. Later I realized it contains mercury. Being a hypochondriac and only 21, I think it would make me feel 100 times better if didn't have mercury in my mouth for the remaining 80 years of my life. I researched that getting an amalgam removal could release more mercury than keeping it for your lifetime. So I'm thinking of just getting it pulled. It is the furthest molar so I wouldn't have a gap. Should I do this?
Find a dentist that removes amalgam fillings safely. They use a rubber dam and ventilation systems. They'll also give you advice about detoxing before and after the proceedure.
Learn about body language. This clown was so prepared to lie that he had to flicnh and think for a fracture of a second wether to answer yes or no to such an obvious and elementary question as "Do you accept that mercury is a toxic?".
Then he met himself in the door and as any good psychopath he blames it on others.
I don't know if there is a difference in Britain or some other foreign country, but I took a class in dental restoratives in university (canada)..the mercury in amalgam fillings has never been linked to mercury poisoning in patients in any scientific study. Yes its a mercury-silver compound, but that doesn't necessarily mean the mercury will leak out (and indeed it has never been proven to). Maybe in the production of the amalgam..but that should in theory be done under some kind of vacuum hood
Also this whole interview looks like a misunderstanding rather than a conspiracy. The CEO is trying to emphasize that there is virtually no mercury release after the filling is complete, but the reporter is referring to the whole operation (i.e. when it is placed into the tooth in its liquid form before it hardens). By saying "you just said it doesn't release mercury", it seems like he is taking the CEOs words totally out of context and thus making him seem to be a liar.
'Virtually no vapour released' is VERY different from NO vapour being released. Have you any idea how damaging mercury is to the human body? There should be NO release at all, otherwise there is a huge risk. Would you breathe in any type of toxic vapour 24 hours a day by choice?
I'm starting to think that the dental association do not want the public to know the truth because they fear they would have to remove the populations fillings for free. millions of
upset people wanting free removal/ compensation.
as an example:if Ford made a series of vehicles that were leaking small amounts exhaust fumes into the cars where the driver sits, they would have them all fixed for free. just like faulty brakes and tires. they are replaced.
So how do you explain the independent reports that prove mercury vapour does leak from amalgam fillings & why did the director of the British Dental Association (on this video) admit that mercury vapour is released?
"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh Noooooooo!! That big bad camera is filming me telling lies! oh, NOOOOo, turn it off, turn it off, I can't stand stand being confronted with telling a good lie on film........oh nooooo, I'm busted and now people can see me telling lies, OHHH NOOO!!! I want to punch you in the face and I'm being filmed! oh no!!! I'll act silly instead omg get that camera away from my face.....I didn't know it would be this revealing!!! oh nooo ok i must do SOMETHING to save my reputation!! ohshit
"Brit teeth" the dentists in the uk are the worst in the world they,re around 40 years behind American dentists in having the ability and expertise to straighten crooked teeth etc,, They seem to excell in making money from filling cavities above and beyond that they,re pretty useless !
what if your german dentist purposefully drops a 15mm amalgum filling down your throat refuses to use the suction to remove it from the back of you throat and tells you to just swallow it? what if he then perscribes flouride to be applied liberally to teeth and gum twice a day resulting in loss of teeth and gum diesease a dead thyroid and sterilizes you is that ok?
These guys are just the puppets towing the Party Line; occupationally-exposed, spin-and-mercury-saturated morons who find it very difficult to cope with contingencies such as "difficult" probing Qs about their toxic profession.
Mercury causes (amongst many, many symptoms) a mindset where ppl become stuck in a rut, and so keep spouting the same old shit in denial, ignorance and often deliberate deception, expecting us to keep swallowing it - literally.
If minute quantities of amalgam vapour are so harmful, then how come the dental profession themselves do not suffer from any untoward effects or any of the specific diseases they associate with amalgam?
And why don't people seem to realise they have been around far longer than the white fillings, which are perceived as being "safe".
People don't HAVE to have fillings put in, tooth decay is completely preventable!!!
People in Rome used to drink water out of lead pipes, and they were the largest most advanced empire in the world at the time. I guess there's no connection.
People also used to use lead based makeup and drink water from lead plumbing fixtures (the latin word for lead is plumbum or something which is why its element symbol is PB and why we have the term plumbing in the first place)
But i guess theres no connection between that and Rome burning while emperor Nero sat on the roof playing the fiddle.
oh wait, there is.
just like we know that mercury has a CUMULATIVE NEUROTOXIC EFFECT JUST LIKE LEAD. meaning it never leaves the body, it just builds up
If you click the View all Comments at the bottom of page, you will see all the replies arranged in relation. If you don't you will get them arranged latest first as you see.
The mercury exposure from fillings is very small and probably compares with background exposure to mercury and other heavy metals from other sources. There's cadmium in tobacco smoke, and you can be exposed to mercury by eating seafood.
Also, it's worth bearing in mind that there are risks in virtually every medical intervention out there, so what we must ask ourselves is, 'do the benefits outweigh the risks'? In the case of mercury amalgam fillings, I believe the answer is definitely yes.
Exsand - no the background vapour level is extremely low about 0.002 micrograms/m3, whereas on the program he was getting up to 15mg, and my own measurements were mouth 460mg, and upper left 600mg. More generally your posts keep making assertions of your beliefs without giving any substantiation. I my posts above I show that the CDO and SCENIHR are guilty of lying, simply pretending away the most important evidence.
The questioning from the journalist is very leading and seems to be along the lines of, mercury is toxic and we get mercury exposure from fillings, therefore mercury fillings are bad.
Given the leading questioning, it isn't surprising that the BDA exec replied with 'lalalalala'. Given a choice of believing a journalist who probably studied media studies at an ex-poly or an expert who knows what he's talking about, I know whose side I'm on.
No it was not "leading questioning". He asked reasonable questions of how much and the BDA said things that were exposed as untrue by the measurements in the tv program just before. And the BDA then started fudging. The BDA was expecting the usual obedient sucking up to his falsehoods and was taken by surprise.
I would love to know if these persons who had their bad amalgam fillings removed and replaced - what did their dentist replace them with? Could it be composite? and do they know that Composites leach harmful chemicals too? They can Kill living cells!!! Get real people! No restorative material is perfect.. Brush your teeth and reduce your sugar intake and prevent the disease in the first place.
Indeed the composites leach dubious things. But there's no significant evidence they leach constantly or cause major harm. By contrast many people including myself have had their lives ruined by mercury fillings. And too many have had "miraculous" recoveries after removal, which cannot be dismissed as placebo effect.
I apologise for being patronising but I do think that this could be 'placebo effect'. If you think something's getting you down and you have it removed then you may well subconsciously tell yourself that you feel better- and hey presto, you feel better.
I'd be interested to see the results if these people were told that their mercury fillings had been replaced by something else, but had in fact been replaced by more mercury fillings. Then we'd be able to test the placebo effect hypothesis.
We can confidently rule out the placebo effect, for most at least. As Mats Hanson, in his review of 25 studies with 6000 patients says, these people commonly had been severely ill for many years (myself 40 years life utterly ruined), and tried all manner of remedies. Then after removal they promptly recovered and remained recovered many years later. If that's seriously a placebo effect it's one that's well worth while.
pt 4/4 You need to understand that positive studies trump negative ones, and direct clinical studies trump indirect fancy ones. And you can't get any more positive and direct than the 26 removal studies which the Chief Dental Officer and the 70-page SCENIHR report choose to pretend do not even exist. These people are simply crooks.
that there is hardly any medical treatment that gives so positive results on so many health problems as amalgam removal. This is damning evidence that amalgam is very harmful and has caused exactly the symptoms with which I am afflicted, and that removal is a most effective treatment.
Now turning to the SCENIHR report, its 71 pages completely fail to even mention those 26 damning studies. Indeed it does not include any review of removal studies at all.
Chief Dental Officer Part 2/4. "More importantly, you would have me believe about the SCENIHR 2007 report that This report has superceded all of the publications that you have cited."
Included among those cited publications were the review of 25 studies Effects of Amalgam Removal on Health by Mats Hanson, 2004, and the later Wojcik et al 2006. That is 26 studies comprising nearly 6000 patients, and the results strongly indicate
Part 1/4 The Chief Dental Officer talks even more carp. Here's parts of a reply I wrote to him, which he failed to reply to.
"Your letter begins with the irrelevant fact that Dental amalgam has been used as a dental filling material since the 1800s. Why should you mention that but fail to mention the infinitely more relevant fact that the modern standard non-gamma-2 amalgams, which emit 30-50 times as much mercury vapour, were only introduced from the 1970s onwards?"
oh & fluride is good for our teeth & mercury is good 4 u?? are we living in twilight zone here??what the hell is going on???iv got mercury in my head from these scumbags.aaaggghhh!!!!
Omigod! The poor idiot has obviously got Mercury poisoning himself - can't think straight. This is just an outrage.... that it is still LEGAL to put Mercury into people's mouths. Don't they know that it accumulates through the years of vapour emission? Don't they know that it crosses the placenta barrier, accumlating down the generations and resulting in increased liklihood of miscarriage, deformities, autism and a host of affllictions? WHY DON'T THEY STUDY THE RESEARCH AND GET INFORMED????
Good, removing the amalgam fillings the right way is the first step ... but the be on the safe side you still need to do some detoxing according to good / safe detox protocols. I didn't and no day goes by where I don't regret that! Pls let me know if I can help you out with details / links!
What is the real agenda dentists have been carrying out for decades with poisonous mercury and fluoride - both damage brains and health, is there a hidden eugenics agenda here?
Nashnosh - a very good question. Certainly there have to be commercial vested interests involved, at the least. But think of it - anywhere that Western 'civilisation' has been, dentists have been busy poisoning people's brains so that they can't think straight. And when people can't think straight .... well, look at the mess the poor planet is in. And check out the TRAGEDY of the toxic sea mammals. Dolphins classed as 'toxic waste' too.
.....dont forget our Government relies on this man for "scientific" advice on these toxic fillings. Watching him the words that spring to mind include evasive, factually inconsistent, floundering, unprofessional and ill-informed. UK dentists must be cringing that this clown represents them - get rid of him and amalgam fillings fast - other countries have - presumably they must have more competent, openminded, sensitive dental association leaders.
I saw this the other night & thought it just cant b real. This guy is a total spazmoid (other words fail me). How cld he hold such a position. His bosses have got 2 get rid of him after that "twilight zone" interview, surely. No wonder UK dentists are so bad with no chance of getting any better with that nutnut onboard. Sack him NOW! Give our teeth a chance, please!
Awesome! Thank you so much for sharing!

TDBWarehouse 2 years ago
White fillings do contain bis-GMA, some also have bis-DMA, a dangerous chemical (monomer), which is derived from bisphenol-A - a synthetic oestrogen - which some dentist products also have.
One or two composites, I read, are completely free of bisphenol-A and bisphenol-A-derived monomers, but have poor wear characteristics. So, for amalgam durability and strength, it's probably going to mean some bisphenol-A - in one form or another! One excellent composite has just 2.5-5% bis-GMA: Grandio.

Depends how u define foolish.

Should I do this?
imHIGURASHI 2 years ago

DoctorFist 2 years ago
Also this whole interview looks like a misunderstanding rather than a conspiracy. The CEO is trying to emphasize that there is virtually no mercury release after the filling is complete, but the reporter is referring to the whole operation (i.e. when it is placed into the tooth in its liquid form before it hardens). By saying "you just said it doesn't release mercury", it seems like he is taking the CEOs words totally out of context and thus making him seem to be a liar.
DoctorFist 2 years ago
'Virtually no vapour released' is VERY different from NO vapour being released. Have you any idea how damaging mercury is to the human body? There should be NO release at all, otherwise there is a huge risk. Would you breathe in any type of toxic vapour 24 hours a day by choice?
ElectricAnus 2 years ago 2
I'm starting to think that the dental association do not want the public to know the truth because they fear they would have to remove the populations fillings for free. millions of
upset people wanting free removal/ compensation.
as an example:if Ford made a series of vehicles that were leaking small amounts exhaust fumes into the cars where the driver sits, they would have them all fixed for free. just like faulty brakes and tires. they are replaced.
indiasrainbow 2 years ago
i'm convinced you're right. The compensation claims would be astronomical.

Do you think it's acceptable to have ANY mercury vapour released into your head 24/7?

So how do you explain the independent reports that prove mercury vapour does leak from amalgam fillings & why did the director of the British Dental Association (on this video) admit that mercury vapour is released?

And who funded the university study? I doubt these statistics are ever truly independent.

*rolls eyes*
420365666 2 years ago
People also used to use lead based makeup and drink water from lead plumbing fixtures (the latin word for lead is plumbum or something which is why its element symbol is PB and why we have the term plumbing in the first place)
But i guess theres no connection between that and Rome burning while emperor Nero sat on the roof playing the fiddle.
oh wait, there is.
just like we know that mercury has a CUMULATIVE NEUROTOXIC EFFECT JUST LIKE LEAD. meaning it never leaves the body, it just builds up

See also "dangerousness of mercury vapour" by Alfred Stock (1926). Scandalous that this is still being pretended away by these charlatans.
borinpc 2 years ago 3
The mercury exposure from fillings is very small and probably compares with background exposure to mercury and other heavy metals from other sources. There's cadmium in tobacco smoke, and you can be exposed to mercury by eating seafood.
Also, it's worth bearing in mind that there are risks in virtually every medical intervention out there, so what we must ask ourselves is, 'do the benefits outweigh the risks'? In the case of mercury amalgam fillings, I believe the answer is definitely yes.
exsandgrounder 2 years ago
Exsand - no the background vapour level is extremely low about 0.002 micrograms/m3, whereas on the program he was getting up to 15mg, and my own measurements were mouth 460mg, and upper left 600mg. More generally your posts keep making assertions of your beliefs without giving any substantiation. I my posts above I show that the CDO and SCENIHR are guilty of lying, simply pretending away the most important evidence.
borinpc 2 years ago

borinpc 2 years ago
I think that those measurements I quoted should all be micrograms rather than milligrams. Still a factor of a thousand or more difference though.
borinpc 2 years ago
'Small' is relative. And irrelevant when referring to a persistent, BIO-ACCUMULATIVE neurotoxin which by definition, cannot have a 'safe' level.
W.H.O. report 1991 states that dental amalgam represents the greatest exposure to mercury, more than all other sources combined, including seafood.
'Benefits outweigh the risks' Do you have any idea what those risks actually are? Do you know what mercury does in your body/brain??
TungstenVirago 2 years ago
The questioning from the journalist is very leading and seems to be along the lines of, mercury is toxic and we get mercury exposure from fillings, therefore mercury fillings are bad.
Given the leading questioning, it isn't surprising that the BDA exec replied with 'lalalalala'. Given a choice of believing a journalist who probably studied media studies at an ex-poly or an expert who knows what he's talking about, I know whose side I'm on.
exsandgrounder 2 years ago
No it was not "leading questioning". He asked reasonable questions of how much and the BDA said things that were exposed as untrue by the measurements in the tv program just before. And the BDA then started fudging. The BDA was expecting the usual obedient sucking up to his falsehoods and was taken by surprise.

I would love to know if these persons who had their bad amalgam fillings removed and replaced - what did their dentist replace them with? Could it be composite? and do they know that Composites leach harmful chemicals too? They can Kill living cells!!! Get real people! No restorative material is perfect.. Brush your teeth and reduce your sugar intake and prevent the disease in the first place.
calaloo 2 years ago
Indeed the composites leach dubious things. But there's no significant evidence they leach constantly or cause major harm. By contrast many people including myself have had their lives ruined by mercury fillings. And too many have had "miraculous" recoveries after removal, which cannot be dismissed as placebo effect.
borinpc 2 years ago
Agreed and I've have my life turned upside down with this poison and the guy in the video said Mercury is poisonous
lilmissglentoran 2 years ago
I apologise for being patronising but I do think that this could be 'placebo effect'. If you think something's getting you down and you have it removed then you may well subconsciously tell yourself that you feel better- and hey presto, you feel better.
I'd be interested to see the results if these people were told that their mercury fillings had been replaced by something else, but had in fact been replaced by more mercury fillings. Then we'd be able to test the placebo effect hypothesis.
exsandgrounder 2 years ago
We can confidently rule out the placebo effect, for most at least. As Mats Hanson, in his review of 25 studies with 6000 patients says, these people commonly had been severely ill for many years (myself 40 years life utterly ruined), and tried all manner of remedies. Then after removal they promptly recovered and remained recovered many years later. If that's seriously a placebo effect it's one that's well worth while.
borinpc 2 years ago
pt 4/4 You need to understand that positive studies trump negative ones, and direct clinical studies trump indirect fancy ones. And you can't get any more positive and direct than the 26 removal studies which the Chief Dental Officer and the 70-page SCENIHR report choose to pretend do not even exist. These people are simply crooks.
borinpc 2 years ago
that there is hardly any medical treatment that gives so positive results on so many health problems as amalgam removal. This is damning evidence that amalgam is very harmful and has caused exactly the symptoms with which I am afflicted, and that removal is a most effective treatment.
Now turning to the SCENIHR report, its 71 pages completely fail to even mention those 26 damning studies. Indeed it does not include any review of removal studies at all.
borinpc 2 years ago
Chief Dental Officer Part 2/4. "More importantly, you would have me believe about the SCENIHR 2007 report that This report has superceded all of the publications that you have cited."
Included among those cited publications were the review of 25 studies Effects of Amalgam Removal on Health by Mats Hanson, 2004, and the later Wojcik et al 2006. That is 26 studies comprising nearly 6000 patients, and the results strongly indicate
borinpc 2 years ago
Part 1/4 The Chief Dental Officer talks even more carp. Here's parts of a reply I wrote to him, which he failed to reply to.
"Your letter begins with the irrelevant fact that Dental amalgam has been used as a dental filling material since the 1800s. Why should you mention that but fail to mention the infinitely more relevant fact that the modern standard non-gamma-2 amalgams, which emit 30-50 times as much mercury vapour, were only introduced from the 1970s onwards?"

What is the real agenda dentists have been carrying out for decades with poisonous mercury and fluoride - both damage brains and health, is there a hidden eugenics agenda here?
nashnosh 2 years ago
Nashnosh - a very good question. Certainly there have to be commercial vested interests involved, at the least. But think of it - anywhere that Western 'civilisation' has been, dentists have been busy poisoning people's brains so that they can't think straight. And when people can't think straight .... well, look at the mess the poor planet is in. And check out the TRAGEDY of the toxic sea mammals. Dolphins classed as 'toxic waste' too.
