God, I love Mike! Especially his English accent - going back to his roots there. I can imagine him talking like that had he been brought up in England [well, the South of, not necessarily Liverpool where his parents were from.] This'll sound stupid, but I am proud to be British, even for this man alone.
I lived in Scarborough (Toronto suburb) like Mike and he's around my age. He really appeals to my sensiblities too. Like a famous brother who watched the same comedy shows I did and was similarly influenced. I'm not British background though.
woaah he really had long hair, i love how he said "okayy" like wayne campbell!!! aah this is so cool to see this actually aha. he was so cool so much like wayne eh?
His earliest character was Wayne, so it was the closest to his true personality. I like him mentioning Mike 'Favell' a 1970s goalie on the Leafs pre Mike Palmateer. His hockey card from 1975 was hard to get, thats how I remember. Cool how he mentions him then. Obviously a fan from all the bad years of the Leafs!
Doug Favell... but that was a long time ago. Crowd could not get into the hockey talk. Mullet did mention Barclay Plager, which was impressive.
My first memory of Myers was on MuchMusic, where he would do the Wayne Campbell character opposite vj Christopher Ward who would play the straight man.
I used to like to do drawrings, then I took an arrow in the knee.
