  • I think yamaha elec pianos sound very good in the baritone/bass register. Is yours an older model? I'm thinking of getting the yamaha p-250 stage piano or kawai mp8. korg and roland just dont do it for me

  • It is DGX-505 that I use, and this is a model of 2004. This has a sound same as P-70. P-140 has a better sound.

I like YAMAHA's sounds. However, KAWAI's keyboards have a good feeling.

If you use with an ext. module, you should buy KAWAI.

  • Only played a p-90....sounded and felt great. Never played a kawai mp8 but it sounds amazing from what I have heard.

At moment I midi the korg triton into a studiologic (SL-88) controller, which feels fine. I dont like the acoustic piano sounds on the triton though.

Ideally my new setup would be just a great sounding piano, so either a stage piano or a module into my sl-88. I tried the roland p-55 sound canvas recently.....horrible!

  • Umm, P-55 is too old :-).

I have not touch SL-88. is it controller? if you have good keyboard/controller already, your choice is P-250.

  • can you get p-250 as a module? what is the most recent yamaha or steinway modules?

  • P-250 has MIDI-In. And if you connect ext. controller with P-250, you can use P-250 as a module.

MOTIF Rack ES is latest module of YAMAHA.

  • CD聞いてるみたいです!上手ですね
