Without joy, love, peace, and happiness...do you believe the universe would work so hard to live and keep living? Experience is unavoidable and so is knowledge because knowledge is experience. Living for knowledge is living for the sake of living but there are many great things things to live for and without those things nothing would matter but if nothing mattered then nothing would be all that exist.
If the actions of what you do are ultimately nothing in the grand scale of things, then who are we to regard other peoples actions as important. A world where no ones actions are significant in any way is depressing.
I believe that we cannot simply explain this world and our existance. If such thoughts make you experience life to its fullest then you are achieving what you are here to achieve. Whichever opinion any of us have we must all enjoy life as that is the most we can do.
I personally believe that we, as human beings, chose to be here on Earth to develop our gifts (whether it be art, education, healing, music, or the million other possibilites) and share this unique traits with others.
Most of all- I believe we are here be happy and evolve thru self-awareness, love of fellow human, animal, plant.
I agree with your sentiment that we are put here to experience life...and not wait for it to happen to us.
words are definitions, i think you may be using them in more generalised terms as opposed to their more specific meanings, every/thing, no/thing. i think i see your point; that life's a balance without conception
life's obviously about truth, that we're al born with, & as our intellect grows, we complicate it & think though it more, but even the *sumwat* apathetic people just realise it & get on with life..just
@SelfComprehension In terms of worldly and material affairs, I would agree with you Chris that nothing matters. Our actions on an individual scale hold no importance in the grand scheme of humanitys earthly existence. But in terms of the soul, our quintessential existence, ALL our actions matter, have importance, and bring forth consequential reactions, both visible and invisible.
@TheEternalWord very true. This is the ego-soul vs the collective soul. But while nothing matters it is only so so that you can let go of your own will and give it up to the experience and where and what that drives you to do. Many actions you may make to complete karmic cycles and free yourself from their revolving doors.... others may be outside the ego and guided by the universe to purely raise love and consciousness. But you must EXPERIENCE the EXPERIENCE... that matters!
Explain. If me doing my homework matters then taking out the trash doesnt techincly matter. Whos to say one or the other? If matter is in itself the definition of society's work ethic then wouldnt everything matter?
I am very happy for Dante, I think he has spent a lot of time researching on these subjects and now as reached a conclusion for what he wants in his life. Now he has realized that you should enjoy life and not really care about things that block this life purpose. : )
I completely agree with William James, concepts are static, incomplete abstractions that are at best only useful analogies of dynamic reality. The corrolary is that reality cannot be completely described or captured by concepts.
"Proof" therefore is essentially nothing save a series of concepts that explains reality to your satisfaction.
i guess because everyone is just as subject to reality as reality is subject to their unique perception. the concept of "separate" forces us to experience only our experiences. therefore, what is green to you, may be blue to me, or even a cat to me, we'd never know, ergo proof is invalid, because all anything is, is a unique creation
@SelfComprehension :) Ok, point taken. What about Newton's Laws of Physics? Can it be said that one means of proof is repeated experimentation, yielding the same results?
I believe everyones purpose is to understand that there is an inner light within all of us, a light that binds us together and to our higher self.
Perhaps now you feel that your purpose means nothing but hopefully at one point in your path it does matter more to you. We are all participating in an ecological planetary system, we are all one and the same. To realize this is our purpose.
There are no stages of spiritual discovery, that is subjective. To say my viewpoint is on a more primitive part contradicts everything you just said in this video. I'm just saying your viewpoint allows for laziness in my eyes, a lack or desire to think. I understand that there are no absolute truths, however you can still pursue those truths and understanding and try to make sense of it.
You can still try to end suffering on this 3rd dimensional field. In my eyes ascension requires effort.
The fact is, there is an answer to all of this, there is a reason. Trying to figure out that reason is very meaningful, accepting your thoughts to an absolute would be ignorant.
Ignoring complication on that path and understanding that all that matters is now.
I must say though, I disagree completely that ascension requires effort. Why infact, It requires the exact opposite! no i agree that lack of desire is not good IF it is also lack in CONCIOUSNESS, but if it is concious then it is followings ones heart.
see ascension does not involce learning or aquiring but rather ""unlearning" and remmebering what you have always been, to do this you must look obviously within ony yourself.
Then I must ask you, how did you come to this conclusion?
You learned it, you thought about it, a path lead you to that understanding. That is why thinking is important, thinking can be creative, our thoughts can manifest reality.
I do not think ascension requires learning or acquiring, however it did take "learning" to understand that fact. Or are you to tell me that you have always been at that conclusion? Would you not offer information to someone seeking it to help guide them towards that?
Or would you simply say, nothing is everything, everything is nothing, and nothing matters and no purpose will have any effect?
Perhaps words can not describe what I'm trying to get at.
But after all, the answers are within yourself, but we are all one, and we are here watching this video taking into account someone elses thoughts, or perhaps our own thoughts. Who knows.
Ya, I think I get where your coming from. I think we can all understand that expressing our feelings of the conscious purpose is kind of impossible through language, being that language is just a tool to try to explain what we don't understand, to box things into descriptions.
I think I let my own prejudice get in the way, and I apologize if it came across as that. I feel that discussion is very important to the sequence though, so I enjoyed exchanging some words with some of you.
Saying nothing matters, and then saying nothing is everything in itself is a contradiction, because if we know that nothing matters, then we don't know it, then maybe we actually do know something, but we just don't understand it. However, we can still think about interesting ideas, and I think that matters, if nothing else, poetically. I agree nothing is certain, however I would say that "there are no absolute truths" is a better way of saying it than "nothing matters".
do what makes you happy, what feels easy and right to you. if being lazzy and without desire [which i do not think chris is exhibiting by any means], means being happy and aware and choosing to do so, then so be it- that is YOUR personal ticketway to asecension.
Defiantly, please don't think I was referring to Chris as lazy, because I do not think that at all. I mean, he takes the time to post these videos for every sequence, he obviously cares. I'm just saying to completely do nothing as far as thought processes go, because you think nothing matters is lazy.
My main point is that its not that nothing matters, its that everything matters. What you do right now does affect the collective consciousness, we are all participants in a planetary shift.
